| Chapter 2 • Cup of Coffee

Vera is in her tub, enjoying a nice bubble bath. She's pampering herself, making sure that every inch of her was clean and soft as silk. She's washing her body with her favorite body soap. She rub it on her legs and arms, while applying the soap to her arms, there she saw the burn earlier this afternoon. As soon as she sees her burn, a small sweet smile appeared on her lips. She caressed her burn and applied soap ever so gently, reminiscing the feeling of Patrick's hand on her skin and it made her blush a little. She's feeling really weird today. "Again! Why am I smiling?" she said to herself.

She checked her phone and saw that it'll only take 15 minutes before 6:00. She quickly drained the tub and get the hand held shower and spray it all over her body. After having her bubble bath, she dried herself off and ran to her walk-in closet. "Shit, shit, shit" she said while running. She didn't have enough time to pick an outfit so she just grabbed a neutral colored skirt that is above the knee and a white turtle neck long sleeved off shoulder top. She got dressed under 5 minutes and now she's blow drying her hair.

On the other apartment, Patrick is already done. He's wearing a white oversized turtle neck long sleeved cardigan and a neutral colored pants. He pulled the sleeves of his cardigan up, just below his elbow. He checked himself one last time and sprayed his body spray onto him. After that, he walked down stair from his room to the living room, making sure that he didn't left anything on.  He stepped outside of his apartment and walked through Vera's, he took a deep breath before ringing the doorbell, after standing for few seconds he pushed the doorbell button and he heard a voice.

"Just a minute!" Patrick heard and smiled to himself. The sound of Vera's voice made him feel calm.

After waiting for minutes, Vera finally opened the door and as soon as she opens it, they looked at each other with complete surprise. Its because they have a matching outfit, both of them wears the same color of clothes. They didn't discuss anything about clothes earlier but they ended up having matching ones.

"You look... Awesome" Patrick said in a whispered manner but Vera's sharp hearing heard it.

"Thank you" she replied with a small giggle and a smile. Patrick's chest was beating fast, he got nervous because he thought that Vera didn't heard him say that. "You look wonderful too doctor" she said in return of Patrick's compliment.

"You got a good hearing" Patrick said in a joking tone and Vera let out a small laugh.

"Let's go" She said and stepped outside her apartment and then locked the door. She put her keys inside her purse and looked at Patrick one more time "Go on" Patrick said and smiled.

They walked together going to the elevator but still having distance with each other. The walk was awkward and quiet, they stepped inside the elevator, Vera first before Patrick and they stand there without opening their mouths. "This is getting really awkward" Vera said in her mind, before reaching the lobby finally she opened her mouth and started talking.

"Where do you wanna get coffee?" She said with a normal and calm voice.

"Up to you, I mean anywhere you want" Patrick replied simply.

"You know? I'm really nervous, I don't even know why" she said and giggled

"Well maybe its because of the apartment mishap incident that happened earlier" Patrick said and also giggled, he saw Vera's reaction. She face palmed again while having a shy smile.

"That is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me! I... Ugh gosh!" Vera said and laughed, Patrick too joined her. Their laughs filled the elevator and now they've reached the lobby and that brought them back to reality.
