"Hey Pat, wanna go get some lunch?" Tyson suddenly spoke out of nowhere and saw what Patrick is doing with Vera. "Oh, Shit! I'm. I'm, God! I'm so sorry guys!" He said and turned around completely shutting his eyes.

"Oh shit!" Vera exclaimed and Patrick immediately slips his finger out of her while she's buttoning her blouse. "Shit! Patrick this is so embarrassing!" She whispered annoyed and flustered.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry guys, I. I didn't know that something is going on in here. Sorry, Pat, I fucked up," Tyson said with his back still turned away from them and his eyes completely shut while Patrick and Vera fix themselves.

"Don't you know how to knock on the door Tyson!?" Patrick exclaimed, he looks at Vera who is behind his back with her face all red.

"Well, I.. Man, I thought this was an office, not a motel," Tyson retorted and Patrick can not say any witty responses back, he just sighed deeply and turned again to look at Vera's current state.

"You can turn your back now, everything is fine," Patrick told his best friend while Vera hid behind his back, completely shy to show herself on Tyson.

"Are you sure about that? I can turn around now? Boy, I don't want to see unnecessary happenings again," Tyson said while slowly opening his eyes again

"You call that unnecessary happening? You had sex with your wife while at the church at your sister's wedding!" Patrick retorted and Tyson nearly broke into laughter.

"That was great but hey, we're enjoying our marriage okay?"

"Well so was I but not until you broke into my office."

"I came here to ask you for lunch, I didn't expect you're already having a meal of your own," Tyson said while turning around to see Patrick and his girl.

"Gosh, Patrick, this is so awkward and embarrassing," Vera whispered to Patrick's ear as she saw Tyson turning to look at them.

"I'm sorry hon," he responded and kissed Vera on her forehead. Patrick held her hands and guide her to stand beside him.

"Wow... She's gorgeous," Tyson complimented as Patrick reveals his woman and even before Patrick introduce Vera to him.

"Hey! You already have a wife," Patrick jokingly warned his friend and Vera giggled upon hearing his words.

"Wh- what!? Bro, I just complimented your girl!" He responded with a shock expression written in his face and Patrick chuckled, so as Vera.

"So.. Vera, this is Tyson, he's my friend-"

"Rephrase that."

"He's my best friend," Patrick said, emphasizing the word best friend and both Vera and Tyson chuckled. "From high school and we both work here. He is a kind and humble guy, it just doesn't look like that because sometimes he looks like an addict but yep, he's friendly."

"That's how you introdu-"

"Tyson, this is Vera, my girlfriend." Patrick didn't let Tyson protest about how he introduce him so he cut his words off and continued introducing his girl to him.

"Hi Tyson, uhm, I'm sorry for what you saw earlier, it's so embarrassing," Vera said with her head bowed down while scootching closer at Patrick while his hands automatically slids from his side to her waist.

"Nah, don't worry, it's not my first time seeing him do that," Tyson blurted out without having second thoughts about what he just said. After hearing it, Patrick's eyes widened at Tyson and Vera pulled herself away a little from Patrick as she felt a sudden fang of jealousy.

"Oh," escaped from Vera's mouth as she heard what Tyson have said.

"No hon, he's just joking," Patrick said in his defense, while Tyson frozes into his position.

"Hmm yah, no, it's totally fine, I understand," Vera responded, avoiding an eye to eye contact with Patrick.

"Am I in trouble?" He mouthed at Patrick but he just stares at him. Before Patrick can say anything, Vera spoke and told them she's going on ahead.

"I have to go. I'll leave you two here,"

"Wait, aren't you gonna have lunch with us?" Asked Tyson trying to lift the weight of their situation.

"Oh, no, but thanks for asking" Vera responded, walked to the door and exited Patrick's office. Completely not in the mood to hear any explination coming from either of them so she walked out. Meanwhile, the two men inside was left quiet.

"Vera, wait. Wait!... She's pissed off," Patrick said looking at the door.

"Bro, I'm so sorry, my mouth just don't know how to break sometimes," Tyson said, blaming himself internally while Patrick on the side remained silent and frozen to its position.

"Pat, I am sorry. I'll help you, I'll help you make it up to her," he said enthusiastically trying to cheer Patrick. "I'll cover your shift, you go after her now. Don't worry about the work here." He offered and Patrick stared at him immediately.

"Are you sure? Cause I have a hela busy schedule today," Patrick said while grabbing his suit.

"Yah I'm sure. So go now before I change my mind," he said and sat at Patrick's chair.

"Thanks man," Patrick replied and grabbed his wallet and keys.

"Nah, its my fault anyways," Tyson responded and grabbed Patrick's schedule. He gasped and his mouth opened as soon as he saw it. "What in the world is this schedule?" He said while scratching his head and all Patrick can do is say goodbye and pat Tyson's back before he leaves his office.

Patrick ran through the hallways of the hospital and to the entrance. He scattered his eyes to look for Vera and thankfully she's still there at the sidewalks, waiting for the uber she booked.

He walked to where Vera is standing and stood beside her.

"Need a lift?"

"Why would I need a lift?" She answered coldly.

"Do you need a ride?"

"I already book an uber,"

"Hon, are you angry?"

"No, not at all."

"Are you jealous?" Vera glances at Patrick very briefly and then diverted her sight into the people who are walking at the lane. Patrick isn't dumb, of course he knows what this means.

"You don't have to be Vera."

"I didn't say I am."

"If you're not then why didn't you answer me when I asked you?"

"Go back to work."

"No. I'm not going back until I make sure we're okay."

"We're okay." She responded without looking at Patrick.

"See, you say we're okay but look at you. You can't even look at me in the eye." Vera then faced Patrick and looked directly in his eyes.

"We. Are. Okay."
