They stand there for minutes just looking at each other, still drenched, clothes are wet but that didn't bothered them at all. They're just looking at each other with smiles crystal clear visible on their faces.

Couple of seconds had passed and finally they're back to reality.

"Let's go, you might get cold if we don't change our clothes" Patrick told Vera in a concerned toned and then nod his head as a gesture or way of saying let's move.

As Patrick and Vera walks towards the back door of the building they saw a group of men not below 20 years old, standing at the entrance of the door holding different sorts or kinds of weapons. The other half of the group, holding a their own thick and long woods, and the others have a grip on their own baseball bat. Patrick stands ahead of Vera and protectively laid out his arms infront of her, acting like a shield as he tries to narrow his eyes at the group of young people. As he looks at them he started to remember the gang who was in the streets earlier. He was skeptical and uncertain at first about who are those people but then his doubts vanished when one of them started talking.

"So... You're the protective boyfriend of this hot lady right there" He said with a lot of cockiness and dirty motives. His eyes looking up and down at Vera's body. He thought that Patrick was Vera's boyfriend because of how protective he is of her.

Patrick and Vera knows that there's nothing going on between them and for now they're just friends.

After hearing what the guy had said, Vera was behind Patrick. Her body hiding behind his manly and mascular form. Her hands was formed into a fist and had a grip on Patrick's sweatshirt. She feels cold because they got drenched in the rain, so she was shaking and in addition to that she's also afraid. And her dark, unhappy mood earlier came back. Patrick was quick to notice and feel this sudden mood switch, so he slightly turned his head to look at Vera. He saw her eyes and saw that she's in fear again so he whispered and said.

"You need to go." He whispered with desperation and weariness.

"W-what?" Vera answered and her grip tightened on Patrick's shirt.

"I said. You need to go. Run as fast as you can and go straight inside the building." He replied, this time trying to make it sound calm and reassuring.

"But Patrick" she responded full of worry and concern, tears starting to form in her eyes. "How about you? I.. I can't just run away and leave you here!" Vera added and loosened her grip to hug Patrick from behind.

"You have to! I'll be alright, I promise" He said but still, Vera won't let go of him, her hug just got even tighter. Now her tears started to fall because she doesn't want to leave him behind, she's concerned, she's worried, she's scared.

"What do you want from us?" Patrick asked them sternly.

"What we want?" The guy who talked earlier responded. "To be honest with ya' these guys are just my back-ups, I'm the only one who wants something from you" he said and smirked while hitting the bat on his palms

"Then what do you want!?" Patrick answered, now with an angry tone. Vera was amazed by how Patrick is so protective of her. I mean, they just met this day yet their connection is so strong. Vera was lost in her thoughts but then came back to reality when the guy spoke and replied to Patrick's question.

"Gimme your girlfriend and we'll have a quickie. After we do some positions and when I get tired with her lil' body, I'll hand her back at ya'. Simple as that." This request made Patrick angrier, his palms rolled into a fist and the guy noticed this so he straightened up and held his bat tightly.

"My girlfriend is not some material thing that you can borrow and then return after using!" After hearing this from Patrick, Vera got so overwhelmed and buried her face at Patrick's back, the word "girlfriend" keeps replaying on her mind. Even though she knows what their real status is she can't help herself from having butterflies inside her stomach.
