Patrick's POV
"Well then if it makes you feel better, I do want tacos" He said "Will you treat me?" Vera looked at him sighing followed by a smirk.
"I thought you were used to be the one who treats people?" She smirked and put her arms on top of the table and then supported her chin with her fingers.
"Well I've noticed that you're quite pissed about me paying the bill so... " Patrick replied raising his eyebrows and then leaned closer to the table.
"Ugghh Wilson!" Vera exclaimed and let out soft giggles "I'm just playing around, I was trying to see what you would do if I acted like that and I must say you give quite a reaction" She said while giggling and gave Patrick a wide smile. Patrick on the other side was annoyed at the same time in the verge of joining Vera at her small laugh fest.
"Okay, okay, okay, you got me there and I must say too, you can be a great actress" Patrick complimented Vera and Vera blushed a little but tried to hide it with her palms. "So? You up for tacos?" He asked and shifted a bit closer to the table, now both of their eyes meeting. Vera didn't respond right away because she was mesmerized by Patrick's gaze.
"Hey Vera?" He asked worriedly and held Vera's other hand that was placed on the table. She closed her eyes for a brief moment and replied.
"Yeah I'm fine." She looked at their hands, Patrick's on top of hers, she felt a tingling sensation going through her entire body. Patrick noticed the direction of Vera's eyes and immediately took his hands off of hers and Vera suddenly misses the closeness but hide it with a follow up question.
"Do you know any places where we can grab tacos?" She responded and smile with pure innocence. They don't know why they feel comfortable with each other and how can they trust each other so easily. Especially Patrick, he recently broke up with his girlfriend because of the cheating issue but its weird why is he letting his self be close to another woman but other than that the closeness they feel are not boring them at all, it feels natural.
"I do know a place" Patrick replied and finally the waiter came in sight and was holding their ordered drinks. He served it to them and greeted them while putting their drinks at the table "What a lovely couple you are. I can see it with the matching clothes and colors of your wardrobe" he said very cheerfully while carefully arranging their beverages, after doing so he greeted them goodbye "Have a nice night lovely couple, if you need anything, I'll be glad to serve you" He said and bowed at Patrick and Vera.
They looked at each other with awe written in their eyes but still has awkwardness. This is the first time they've ever experienced being mistaken as couples, well they just met at that very same day so its really awkward but none of them dared to address what the waiter had said to them. They just continued drinking their Matcha Vanilla latte while also having an interesting conversation. After an hour spent at the coffee shop, the two decided to go at the taco place Patrick was saying. They got out of the coffee shop and Patrick was the first one to arrive at the door.
"The drink was really good" Patrick said while opening the door for Vera.
"Yah, I enjoyed it too and also the pastries, they also taste good" she responded and waited for Patrick to get out of the coffee shop. When he finally did Vera thanked him for treating her "Thank you for the treat Patrick" she said and smiled ever so sweetly and Patrick responded with an equal smile. "So, lets grab some tacos Mr. Taco guy!" Vera said teasing Patrick because all he talked and blabber about during their conversation was Tacos.
"Oh so you're making names now Mrs. Test paper" He said and laughed. Vera was confused about why he said Mrs. Test Paper, she's a bit slow on getting jokes.
