You woke up the next morning, your body was sore. You stiffened as you felt a hand wrap around your waist, relaxing almost immediately as you remembered what happened last night. A smile spread across your face. You turned softly as to not wake the still sleeping man next to you.

Severus looked so peaceful, so calm as he slept beside you. His creased forehead now smooth as he snored quietly away. You brushed a few strands of hair from his face, tracing your fingers along his hairline. You didnt want this weekend to end.

Carefully and as quietly as you could, you shuffled out from under the sheets into the cold air of the room. You shivered, instantly missing the warmth of the bed and his body.

You were in the kitchen, your night robe wrapped loosely against your shoulders. A knock at your door caused a slight anxiety in your chest to build.

You opened the door and were greeted by Albus. "Good morning, Y/n"

"Albus, good morning." You said, very confused.

"Sorry for popping by so early, I was wondering if you had seen Severus by chance. I knocked on his door but he didnt answer." He said, peering over his specticales. His light blue eyes seemed
to hold you in your place.

"Severus? No, not since dinner yesterday." You lied, the words tasted wrong on your tongue.

"Mmm, pity." Albus sighed. "He probably just slept in, which that in itself is unusual. Sorry for disturbing you Y/n."

He bowed and walked down the hall, glancing behind him. You thought you saw him smirk and your stomach tightened in knots.

You closed the door, staring wide eyed at the wooden frame. Severus poked his head out of the bedroom.

"I guess I should go see what Albus wanted." His voice low and calm.

"Yea, probably." You let out a nervous laugh.

Severus was dressed, but his hair still a mess. He walked over to you, placing a kiss on the top of your head. You ran your fingers through his hair, straightening the messy strands out.

"See you later?" You asked as Severus pulled away, opening the door.

"See you later." Severus spoke softly as he shut the door behind him.

You continued the rest of your day feeling like you were as the muggles say, 'On cloud 9'. You were light on your feet as you cleaned around your living area. You made tea with a smile on your face as you sat at your desk and began grading the end of term quizzes.

Finnegan received half marks, his answers weren't complete or he'd write the correct answer, erase it and write the wrong one. In class he would attempt the spell, do everything write, but it would just blow up in his face. Nine times out of ten quite literally.

Granger had of course received full marks, every answer correct with extra answers scribbled on the sides. You had high hopes for the girl. Her in class performances were just as perfect.

Longbottom was difficult. In class he did sub-par, his nervousness in front if his peers got the better of him. But on paper he was fantastic. His answers were correct through and through.

Weasley however seemed as if he was just here to be here. He did just enough in class and on his homework to pass. You were thinking about talking to his parents about an extra motivational class.

Potter was a surprise. You knew he hadn't known much if anything about the wizarding world and its ways but his grades showed otherwise in your class. He wasnt quite as smart as Granger but Potter tried his best.

As the hours ticked away, dinner time had already passed. You groaned in dismay as you brewed yourself a pot of tea. After pouring the steaming liquid into a cup, you sat down on your sofa.
Grabbing your copy of the muggle novel, Child called It, you read and sipped your tea in silence. The crackling of the fire in its heated glory the only sound apart from your fingers flipping through each page.

The sound of soft tappings came from your door. You stood from the sofa and opened the door.

"Why weren't you at dinner?" Severus's worried voice filled the silent room.

"Lost track of time grading papers." You said, walking back to your pot of tea, pouring Severus a cup.

Severus just sighed, folding his arms across his chest. He could remember many nights where he got lost in the flow of grading tests.

"So, what did Albus want this morning?" You asked, handing Severus his cup.

"Some slytherin students were causing an early morning ruckus." He scowled. "Malfoy and some other boy, Crabbe, I think."

You nodded, listening as he told you about the long, and very boring detention he was practically forced into with the two boys. You smiled as you listened to him talk, his voice smooth and low as he spoke. You could quite literally listen to him forever.
