Boarding the Hogwarts Express, you sat in the Teachers compartment. Leaning  your head on the window, you watched as the school receded in the distance. You were excited to see your parents again, you missed them greatly.

The silence of you compartment and the vibrations of the train made you drowsy. You felt your eyelids begin to close and you didnt even fight em, falling blissful sleep.

"Professor?" An voice called. "Professor."

You felt you body being shaken as the the voice called your name. Your eyes snapped open, landing on one of your students. Harry had a look of concern and confusion etched on his face.

"Potter? " You mumbled sleepily. "What are you doing here?"

"We arrived at Kings Cross." Harry said with a small smile.

"Oh." You looked out of the train window, and saw the station bustling with students and parents alike. "Thank you, Mr. Potter."

"Anytime." The boy smiled again before leaving off the train.

You sighed and quickly grabbed your luggage and leaving the train yourself. The station was bustling still as children and young teens were reunited with their parents or guardians. You smiled as you thought about your own parents, waiting eagerly at home.

You passed through the magic column that connected Hogwarts express and the muggle station, feeling the air vibrate you as you went headfirst into the bewitched brick wall. You looked around you, making extra sure no muggles saw you before continuing on.

You saw Harry sitting at the bus station, his trolley placed beside him. You looked at the young boy curiously for an moment before striding up to bench, taking an seat next to him.

"Professor, hi." Harry greeted you, a sad smile on his face.

"Hello, Harry. Is nobody here to pick you up?" You gave the boy a comforting smile as you asked.

Harry just shook his head, diverting his eyes from you and stared straight ahead. You sighed heavily, your thoughts racing as you came up with a solution.

"How would you feel about coming to spend the Holiday with me and mine?" You said. The words flowed from your mouth as if they were normal. It certainly was not normal to ask a student to stay at your home, but you felt the need to protect the boy. To make him happy.

"I don't think the Dursleys would like that very much." Harry mumbled. "Not that they care much about what I do."

"Would you rather stay at a house where you feel unwanted, or at a house where you'll be welcomed with open arms?"  You smirked at shaggy haired boy next to you.

"The latter, but honestly professor, i'd rather be back at Hogwarts." He lowered his head, staring at his snow white owl.

"Honestly, Harry. Same. " You chuckled in response. "Come on, lets go."

"Go where, Professor?" He stood as watched you start walking.

"My place, Potter. Keep up." You called out, a smile plastered on your face.

"The Dursleys really wont like this." Harry said as he caught up to you, his trolley in tow.

"To hell with the Dursleys, dear. You deserve a happy Holiday. As do I." You laughed. "And if they have an issue with it, the Dursleys are more than welcomed to send a letter to Dumbledore or even the Ministry if they so choose. I want you there, end of story."

You could see the smile widen as Harry walked beside you. The two of you turned down the street, and you pulled Harry into an emoty alleyway.

"Hold your breath Harry, and don't let go of your luggage." You cautioned.

Before Harry could ask anything, you grabbed his shoulder and apparated.
