"How the hel-"

"I don't know but, Rachel you look pretty happy!"

"Huh, yeah..." My voice trails off and I smile.

"So, Tom," she checked the paper, "Hiddleston...you've done pretty well!"

"Haven't I just?" I mumbled, staring at the picture of me and my lover. It was taken that night we went to the posh restaurant. I knew this would come back to haunt me, but this time, I felt quite happy. Happy because now I could look successful and happy and, not married, but in a stable relationship. All was right with the world and I didn't want to ruin that.

Another hour passed and new coffees were purchased. The time I was sat there I didn't feel quite, there (?). My mind wasn't focused, my vision was blurred. I couldn't get him off of my mind. Then, like magic, the doors to the café swung open and in came Tom, his eyes searching the room for a rowdy group of women. When he finally looked my way, I felt his eyes lock on mine, his smile widen and I bit my lip as he walked over and grabbed a chair to sit down. He kept looking at me and in the corner of my eye I could see my friends staring in wonder at the 'chemistry' we had and I couldn't help but smile. I think Tom noticed too as he leaned in and kissed me on the cheek.

"Hey babes," he joked, "I've missed you so much." His voice was one a person would use to speak to a dog. Degrading and slightly irratating but always funny to hear from a fully grown man. I jumped on board with the joke and took it to the next level.

"Oh it's okay baby. I was just hanging out with my girlfriends!" I gestured to the people around the table and Pippa frowned.

"Are you taking the piss?"

"Oh!" Tom said, gasping. He held his hand to his chest and leaned in towards her. "I don't appreciate that kind of language from young, elegant ladies such as yourself." He gestured towards Pippa and she frowned.

"Righttt. So Em tell me about..." her voice trailed off into the background and Tom leaned in towards me. He whispered into my ear and said, "I've got a surprise waiting for you back at the house." I could feel my eyes lighten up and I looked over at him and smiled.
