Copper and Tellurium [Kuroo x reader]

Hair

It's been a few weeks since you met Kuroo. People have noticed your change in attitude and how happy you look these days. You get more stares now but you don't care anymore. Daichi doesn't know how to take this change, he doesn't want you to get involved with a boy but he's noticed how happy you are—and that makes him happy. Your grades have also improved and he's noticed that you've been working harder.

You walk out to have lunch with the team when Daichi calls you over. 'y/n,' he waved to you, gesturing for you to sit beside him. 'Aniki, what's up?' you sit between Daichi and Suga. 'I just wanted to say...' he starts looking at you very seriously. You get a little nervous. 'I'm proud of you. Whoever this boy is, he seems like a good influence and I approve of him.' UHM WHAT!? The entire team spun towards Daichi. Tanaka yells, 'Daichi san!? You are giving y/n your blessing?? Do you know who the guy is??' Daichi laughs nervously, rubbing the nape of his neck. 'I don't know who he is yet... but y/n's grades have improved, she has been working so much harder and she's looking after herself more than usual. Whoever this guy is, he's looking after her. I can't help but approve of him.' Your eyes sting a little. Daichi noticed. Also... your brother had never given anyone his approval like this before. You hug him tightly. 'I love you Anikiiii,' you say, tears in your eyes. 'So... will you tell us who it is?' Suga asks menacingly. 'Nope!' you reply with a smile. You eat your lunch before heading back to class.

~the end of practice~

Daichi is locking up when Hinata runs up to you yelling, 'Y/n sannn, why do you never wear your hair down!?' The team noticed that your hair was either always in a braid, ponytail, or bun and this question piqued their interest. 'Well when I used to have my hair down, I used to get stared at a lot. I already feel uncomfortable with the staring, so I just decided not to have my hair down so I'd get fewer stares!' you say innocently. The guys seem kinda shocked. Daichi sighs, 'she feels more comfortable that way so I don't question it.' They all shrug and we start to walk home. "I wanna see your hair down!' Hinata exclaims. The other first-years hum in agreement. 'Maybe one day haha.' They seem satisfied with your answer.

Once you get home and get ready for bed, you turn to your phone to message Kuroo. You stay up talking to him when you get a knock on the door from your brother. 'Come in,' you say. Daichi walks in and sits at your desk facing you. 'Y/n, you've gotta tell me who this guy is. I gave you guys my blessing so it should be fine right?' he says. You smile softly. 'Aniki, we're not even dating yet. I guess we're friends though,' you say trailing off. 'You like him?' Daichi asks more like a statement than a question. 'I do... I'm not sure about him though...' you reply. Daichi chuckles before leaving your room. 'Something tells me he likes you more than you know,' he says, walking out. You turn your attention back to your phone.

y/n: Sorry, my brother came to talk to me

Kuroo💖: no problem, what'd he say?

y/n: he wanted to know who I've been texting every night...

Kuroo💖: Oh no

Kuroo💖: did you tell him?

y/n: nope! but it is safe to, he won't kill you anymore

Kuroo💖: uhhhh how do you know?

y/n: he uhm gave us his blessing today...

Kuroo💖: wHAt?

Kuroo💖: wait blessing?

Kuroo💖: he knows we've been talking?

Kuroo💖: are we getting married?

y/n: yes, yes, and yes

Kuroo💖: Oh my

Kuroo💖: at least let me take you to dinner first😉

Kuroo💖: if you want to of course😅

y/n: well you live in Tokyo

y/n: but at some point, I would love to :)

Kuroo💖: :0

Kuroo💖: okay the next time you're in Tokyo, let's go hang out and get dinner ^-^

y/n: it's a date ^-^

Did he just ask me out on a date? No, he probably means going out as friends. You message him for a little while longer, a little more flustered than usual, until you both decide to go to sleep. That night you dreamt of a certain volleyball team captain with black spiky hair.
