Copper and Tellurium [Kuroo x reader]

Tokyo!

You've been working extra hard lately. The team has recovered from the last match against Seijoh. You and Takeda Sensei have been working on getting things together for a week-long training camp you've been invited to along with the teams of Fukurōdani Academy, Nekoma High, Shinzen High, and Ubugawa High. When you broke the news to the team they were elated. That was until you broke the news that they would have to pass their exams to go. You offered to help them study along with the new potential manager named Yachi. She's so cute. I hope she joins. you thought to yourself. You wouldn't have to worry though as soon after, she did join.

With the exams drawing near, you tutored Tanaka and Nishinoya as you're in the same year. Kageyama and Hinata are being tutored by Yachi. You are surprised at how well the second-years are working, giving you hope that your whole team would be able to go to Tokyo...

Tanaka and Noya passed! You were relieved... until Kageyama and Hinata's results came back. They both failed one test each so it's not so bad. They have to retake the exam and then make their way to Tokyo a little later. Tanaka offered a ride to Tokyo which made you feel nervous. Coach Ukai tells me to stay behind with the boys to make sure things run smoothly and because they wouldn't need all three managers at first. You agreed even though you wanted to see a certain captain as soon as you could...

~outside the exam~

You tap your foot anxiously as you stood waiting for the two first-years. Suddenly they burst out and run outside. You follow them out and are greeting by Tanaka's older sister Saeko. You head into the car and Saeko speeds towards Tokyo. 'We're going to die,' you whisper, at which Saeko just laughed. You sat beside Kageyama, who you've recently become closer friends with after the match against Seijoh. He falls asleep after a while Hinata talks to Saeko about the Tiny Giant. You hear a ding and take out your phone to find a message.

It was Kuroo.

y/n: 2/4 of our precious first years had to retake an exam

y/n: I'm on my way to Tokyo with them right now

Kuroo💖: Ahh I see

Kuroo💖: Come faster

y/n: No

y/n: what if I die

Kuroo💖: okay fine

y/n: I'll be there soon don't worry lol

Kuroo💖: I'm not worried

Kuroo💖: I just wanna see you 😣

y/n: I wanna see you too!

Kuroo💖: Don't trip when you come out of the car

Kuroo💖: I might not be there to catch you next time 😉

y/n: 😳

y/n: I only tripped because I was tired before 😣

Kuroo💖: uhuhhh

Kuroo💖: Oh shoot, I gotta go, I'll see you later ❤️

'That's him isn't it,' you hear a sleepy voice say from your side. You hide your phone. 'That's who? I'm not sure what you're talking about ahahaha' you reply nervously. Kageyama smirks. 'Don't worry, I won't tell anyone.' You sigh a breath of relief. 'i didn't think he was your type,' he says, 'Daichi is going to have one hell of a shock.' You turn red as a tomato. 'WHO ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?' Saeko shouts towards you, 'It's a boy, isn't it?? Tell me tell me tellmetellmetellmeeee!' You go redder. Kageyama and Hinata explain the situation. Hinata and Saeko try and get Kageyama to spill who it is but he didn't budge. We stan a loyal bean. 'You guys are going to find out soon anyway, there's no way we won't be able to tell at the camp,' Kageyama suddenly says. The car went quiet and then suddenly... 'HE'S GOING TO THE CAMP? HE PLAYS VOLLEYBALL? IS HE FROM TOKYO?' you hear Hinata yell. You nervously laugh and say, 'I suppose you'll find out...' You were bullied all the way to Tokyo.

Kuroo's POV

I can't wait to see her. I've not seen her since the practice match. I wonder what she'll be wearing. She would look cute in anything. Oh my God, I'm distracted. My head is full of thoughts of y/n that I don't notice the door slam open. Oh my God, they're here. I see the two first-years walk in and my eyes land on the girl I've been waiting for. She looks so good... We make eye contact and before I could wave, a volleyball hits me in the face. I turn towards the perpetrator. 'Lev,' I call him sternly. He looks scared and apologises. Red-faced, I sigh and walk off to get a drink of water.

'Kuroo san?' I hear from behind me. Her voice omnjifdninweiuncwe. 'You made it y/n chan!' I say with a smile. 'Are you okay? You got hit pretty hard,' she said, ignoring my comment. I place a hand at the nape of my neck and chuckle nervously, 'You saw that? How embarrassing hahaha. I'm okay though, you don't have to worry.' Y/n smiles. I feel the blush creep up to my face. I love her smile so much. 'That's good. I have to leave my bags in my room so I'll see you later Kuroo san,' she said walking away, waving at me. 'See you later y/n,' I replied with a grin. I turn back around to find a dozen eyes on me. They saw the whole interaction. I walk back up to my team and try to continue practice without talking about it when I suddenly hear Kenma's voice. 'When did you two get so close?' he asks, giving me a smirk. 'Well you know I got her number at the practice match... we've been talking a bit,' I sigh, a little flustered. 'Let's just focus,' I say, clearing my throat.

Y/N POV

I put my bags away and get settled in the managers' room and go to meet the other managers. Kiyoko and Yachi are there as well as three other managers. Their names are Eri from Ubugawa and Yukie and Kaori from Fukurodani. We all go up to the kitchen to prepare dinner while the guys finish up practice.

While I'm cooking with the managers, Kiyoko approaches me with a grin on her face. 'Sooo, I saw you talking to a certain captain earlier,' she said. This comment caught the attention of all the other managers. 'Do you have a boyfriend y/n?' Yukie asked, 'What captain? Is he cute?' Kaori asked. I shoot Kiyoko a why did you do that kinda look before explaining that I don't have a boyfriend, without mentioning Kuroo. I feel myself getting flustered just thinking about him. 'But she has her eye on the Nekoma captain,' Kiyoko announces. 'Kiyoko!!' I pout. She just laughed and ruffles my hair. I was about to turn back to my cooking when I noticed a boy from Nekoma standing at the door. He heard everything...

He's gonna tell Kuroo...
