"Ok, so we need to go over a few things," Andrew said, after having Devon gather up all the other daemos. "No 1, NO MAKING VIDEOS WITH AVA!"

You sighed, dropped your head. "Here we go again..."

"Number 2," Devon continued. "NO SELLING WEED!!"

You snorted. "Sooo, selling marijuana is fine?" you joked.

The two dads didn't seem to approve of your attempt at a joke.

You raised your hands up in defense. "Just kidding..."

"She seems to be very bold with Ava's parents..." Rhys whispered. "Perhaps she does know Ava's parents."

"But then why would she lie?" Asch whispered back.

"Maybe she wants Ava for herself and is trying to show bravery?" Noi said, popping in the conversation.

"Don't be foolish," Leif said. "A male can protect a lady 10 times better than a female can."

Rhys looked at Leif with a deadpanned expression. "She knocked you two out with her stick multiple times."

"Number 3," Andrew said, bringing all the boys back to reality. "Please still be her friend even if she picks one of you."

You raised your hand. "Ok, if this is about Ava's relationship status, why am I here?"

Both of Ava's dads glared at you.

"What are you-Oh, come on," You said, throwing your hands up."Do you really think that I would rape her?"

"Well, your little friend almost did," Devon said.

You blinked. "Oh, Ryan..." You said, clearly showing a distaste for him. "Yeah, yeah, ok, I was friends with him before. But what happened to him after that day, huh?"

Both dads paused for a moment before Andrew started talking. "Ryan wasn't able to come back to school for a while because he was in a...bicycle accident? But ended up getting expelled either way."

"No, he got his ass beat," You said, in a calm voice. "Surprisingly for a guy his size he didn't know how to fight..."

"Wait, that was you?" Devon said, snapping his head.

You bit her lip. "No, I just...happen to witness it that's all..." You turned away. "Can we please change topics now... Do you guys have anything to comment about?" Trisha asked the daemos.

"What do you mean by remain friends?" Noi asked.

Andrew sighed. "We just don't really see Ava having friends a lot. And it's nice seeing a group of friends that are with her."

"Wait..." Rhys said. "Are you giving us permission to-?"

"We're going to let this play out," Devon said nodding. "Whoever Ava picks to be with is her choice, we're just glad that she has someone to interact with."

You cleared your throat. "I'm right here you know..."

Andrew chuckled, ignoring you. "We were just afraid that she was alone!"

"Alone?" Leif asked, confused.

"Dad? Pop?" Ava asked, coming out of her room. "What's going on?"

"Oh nothing, just laying down the law," Devon said, turning around.

Andrew nodded. "Well, we're going to be heading out now."

"That easy?-I MEAN-So soon...?" Ava said, making you chuckle.

"Yes, it's been a long day. And we just wanted to make sure you were alright." Andrew said.

"We'll be stopping by from now and then to make sure you're ok," Devon said. "AND NOT DOING VIDEOS."

"...huh?" Ava asked.

This child is too pure for this world-

"He means..." Andrew started. "Uhh..."

"You...tube videos...yes, youtube videos!" You said, saving Ava's innocence.

Andrew chuckled. "Yeah! Youtube videos..." He turned to the other daemos. "It was a pleasure meeting you all."

Devon nodded. "Same!"

"Well, that went surprisingly well..." You said, plopping down on the couch after both dads have left.

Rhys sat down next to her. "Have you encountered them before in a similar situation?"

"Depends on what you count as a similar situation." You said, yawning.

Your phone starts to buzz loudly.

"Hello?" You said, sounding dead. "Oh fuck." You cursed and jumped up to your feet.

Rhys tilted his head. "Where are you heading off to?"

"Work." You said, looking for your jacket.

"Didn't you just come from work?" Rhys asked.

"Yeah, but my shift wasn't over and Ava's parents dragged me out of there." You rushed towards the door and ran through the halls.

And bumped into Andrew.

"Sorry, in a rush!" You said, recovering and continuing to run.

Andrew looked at Devon with a confused face.

"Wait, did we forget about her shift?" Devon asked.

"We forgot about her shift-" Andrew replied.
