12 - U turn from the park

A/N: AYYYY WE'RE GETTING CLOSER TO THOSE NEW CHAPTERS THAT AREN'T JUST A COPYPASTA AND CHANGE ALL PRONOUNS AND NAMES

"You, WHAT??" You yelled out at Ava.

"I'M SORRY OK!!" Ava yelled back, holding her hands up in defense.

You and Ava were out of the apartment and in the park entrance, and somehow Ava managed to lose all of the daemos while you went to the bathroom.

"You've got to be kidding me..." You said, burying your face in your hands.

"I'M SORRY!!!!" Ava repeated, waving her hands around.

"Let's just...try and find the others before they do anything weird." You said, throwing your hands up in defeat.

Ava nodded. "I'll go this way, and you can go over there." She threw down a picnic blanket on a nearby bed of grass. "Bring them here if you find them."

"This is wayyy over my normal exercise amount..." you said, panting. "Pierce? PIERCE!"

"Hm?" Pierce said, looking up from the...chess game?

You were still panting after you reached Pierce. "Don't run off like that next time, ok?"

"I was planning to help you with the others, but I got...distracted by them playing war." Pierce said, turning back to the chess game. Or...planning war as he called it.

"For the last time, it's called chess!" One of the old men said, making you chuckle.

"C'mon Pierce, let's go to the others now." You said, before semi-dragging him by his arm.

"Are you mad at me?" Pierce said, causing you to stop.

I swear to god it's like a grown-up hot ass man but with the mindset of a 5-year-old and a vocabulary of an adult. In other words, why is this man-baby so frickin adorable???

You gather yourself after screeching to yourself internally. "Less mad, more annoyed, and not at you." You replied, booping his nose at 'you'

Pierce seemed confused at the gesture but shrugged it off. "Do you care for us?"

Geez, where are all these questions coming from... "Of course!" You said, without giving it a second thought. "Why do you ask?"

"...It's nothing." He said, after being silent for a bit.

In other words, it is something but it's just that I don't want to tell you because it will probably alter the way you think of me. Ok, that seems like a legit answer.

"Is there a reason why you care for us?" Pierce asked again.

"I- uh-" You faltered a bit. "Well, I guess Ava cares for you because you guys seem to be in a similar situation as her when she was in high school. Didn't really fit in, was lost most of the time, and overall pretty new to this stuff. Since before she went to a private all-girls middle school."

"Oh. What about you?" He asked.

Well SHIT I was trying to avoid it but NEVER MIND.

"Let's just say I feel like I owe Ava something..." You said, speeding up your pace.

Pierce nodded, feeling like he shouldn't push the matter any further.

When you and Pierce came back, Ava was dragging all of the daemos back home.

Wow. Such great timing.

"Ava, any reason on why we're going back so quick?" You asked, still semi dragging Pierce.

"Well...." Ava turned around to face you. "So, Mr. Green is a huge supporter of my dad's campaign. In other words, if he sees me with ANY of these guys he's going to think I'm dating one, or worse, ALL OF THEM! And if he comes to that conclusion, there is nothing stopping him from telling that to my dad!"

"Ahhh..." You said, nodding. "Gotcha...now let's get these idiots home."

"I HEARD THAT!!" Asch yelled.
