We Are All Strangers

Chapter 10

Just a warning now this is just a filler chapter. I know I say this all the time but I have really bad writers block. My spring break is coming up so I'll probably write another chapter then.

"I was invited, and besides I can come here whenever I want so don't think-"

"I invited him."

Rick said, interrupting Luke.

"I saw him yesterday when I was coming home, I asked him if he needed to stay with us if his dad was mad and he told me everything that happened,"

"So you know about me and-"

"Yes, and I don't care. Anyway I thought you guys should mend your friendship!"

He pushed me into a chair and walked away.

"So you want to apologize?" Luke asked me.

I sneered at him and rolled my eyes. The waiter aproached our table and asked for our orders. I asked for french toast of course and hot chocolate, Luke ordered the same thing. After an eternaty of silence, the waiter finally brought us our food. We still remeained silent while eating. I didn't want to talk to Luke, i didn't want to be near Luke. Except I kinda do, but no, I mostly don't.

Rick looked over and saw we weren't talking and advanced towards us.

"Hey guys! Having fun?"

"Oh yes, someone better get a fire extinguisher cause we're gonna burn the place down!"

"Hey Penny, we don't have good insurance; or any... so don't do that."

"I was kidding!"

"Yup, kidding."

He awkwardly walked away.

Luke got up from his chair.

"Leaving so soon Lukey-Pookie?" I teased him.

"I don't need to stay here any longer."

He set down a around ten dollars for his meal and walked out. His meal was only $7.10, and yet he put down $10. I took the extra money and walked home.
