Chapter 8

"Oh hey Luke what are you doing here?"

I tried to play it cool but I felt like I was gonna faint.

"Oh, well I was wondering if I could stay here for the night cause my dads mad at me, but I see you're busy."

"No you can stay, I'm not busy."

"No,"

He turned around to leave and then opened his mouth to speak again.

"And Penny, I thought you where better than this."

He sneered. He stormed out and slammed the door.

"Yikes, so much for no one knowing."

Dale said lightly. Are you kidding me? Did he really just say that? Now two of my best friends hate me, Holly and now Luke. I stormed away in fury.

"Where are ya going?"

Dale called after me.

"To sleep!"

"Alright, I'll show myself out then."

I walked into my room, climbed in bed and closed my eyes, even though I knew I wouldn't get any sleep.
