Zora Domain's Travel Gate had filled the circular pond on which Divine Beast Vah Ruta had rested to purge Calamity Ganon, with the three plinths of Mipha's Song quest being demolished to research more Sheikah technology. Upon it almost uncountable swordsmen. They then proceeded to descend the mesa to stride on Oren's Bridge, a path to Luto's Crossing, a trail around Ruto Mountain intertwining into a bridge over Ruto Lake and finally on the Great Zora Bridge. Sidon was at the entrance to greet the battalion of Hyrulean and also Sheikah battlers. Sidon with the Lightscale Trident enhanced with diminutive blades and embedded with blades rimmed with light rouge and virescent. He greeted them like in his distinctive jovial personality and greeted him gleefully, "O soldiers of Hyrule we thank you on behalf of all our Zora. The Yiga have been petrifying us and slaughtering them. Please defend us. Now please set up,"
And that's what they did. There were watchtowers on Ruto Mountain, Ruto Precipice and the islands in Ruto lake had. These towers were crafted with chestnut logs, and stone bricks. There was a hollow room with a parapet with a slate spiral roof. Hylian and Sheikah archers were set upon these pillars, who were Royal Guards armed with massive crossbows forged with the Sheikah prowess. This technology allowed a rapid-fire mode, a blast mode, and a scope for almost an unmissable shot. Another new addition to the arsenal of the Hylian army was Sheikah technology a ring around their 2 fingers with a mini tendril pattern of the Travel gate with wires connecting to a belt on the top of their forearms, these devices beings able to teleport short distances. One of their last Sheikah technology was a wristband of Sheikah technology. If tapped can alarm the rest of the army at Zora's Domain. Their setups had taken till night with no signs of any Yiga. The army's set-up had an outer ring of shields, varying from the soldier's, knight's, royal's and royal shields. Between the shields, gaps were the ranks of bows. There was an inner ring with armed soldiers varying with respective ranks' spears, swords, claymores, bows, and some even brandished the Sheikah crossbows. Some Zora troops even joined the rings with their personal honed shields, bows, spears and longswords. On the second floor was the same format of the soldiers' formation. Though far too soon to say if they were coming or not. They felt as if their air was tensed. And thus 12:04 pm was the dark of the Yiga's ambush. And thus the first Yiga arrived.
King Dorephan had stepped from his throne during the night. He said to the overarching army due to the absence of a leader. "Even though I have dispatched my soldiers. I will fight myself. And do not protest Sidon," Him having his son by his side almost disputing. "There is no worth if my race is evacuated and I do not fight. I'd rather give up my life than bring shame to our blood. Please let me," Sidon then sceptically obeyed, "Yes Father." Within Dorephan's speech, he referred to the Zoras' evacuation, which was them being aided by leftover Zora soldiers through the underwater tunnels.
The latest tier of new Yiga Hashira wore shinobi shozoku of shades of ruby with an emblem of the Yiga on their chests and the zukin replaced with a mask of the Yiga, a hood, and a long topknot of hair. They were armed with ninjatos or tantos. The first Hashira had teleported in vermillion embers with a ninjato a spire located on Ruto Mountain. There were 5 archers. The first Yiga had spawned behind one and thrusted into the man's back with almost no noise and converted the strike to a slice to the side, and then curving it so the Yiga can decapitate the crossbow wielder before skewering the flying head. The Yiga had executed this so quickly the victim didn't even make a sound, and as the beheaded body fell the evil mercenary let the head slide of the ninjato, down from the tower. The gore had bathed the railing and went down the cliffs. His stealth was surreal as even the other soldiers didn't realise. Then one of the Sheikah soldiers realising the loss of a breathing pattern from their 5 patterns, just to turn towards the Yiga. His shock converted to a will to aim for a headshot on the Hashira. A massive bolt with unmatchable speed due to it being a blast-mode shot imbued with Ancient Technology. The bolt midair was faster than a Guardian laser, yet the scarlet-clad soldier had quick travelled, floating behind the Sheikah solder, having his legs around the neck and grabbed his head, before snapping it so hard the head almost having it peeled off. Then bringing his ninjato towards the Sheikah's head, slicing through the head till his crotch carving him vertically. And obviously, the rest of the diminutive battalion had been alerted and the three started to shoot. In only a few seconds the bolts headed for the soldier, only to deflect with his ninjato. They pierced the 2 Sheikah and 1 Hylian all in heads, necks and eyes. The Yiga dashed towards the falling corpses before beheading them and them skewering the 3 heads. Wielding the brochette-like sword of heads and with immense power and propelled the flesh towards Rutala River which tinged the water bloody in it. Even the tower's floor was full of blood and the first body's had intestines over the floor. The blood had drooled over the stairs too. This was only one of the few silent assaults on the stronghold towers enacted upon by some Hashira.
At the underwater tunnels of the ground, down the ladder to the floor. Many Zora generals fleed through the tunnels while protecting the myriads of Zora. These luminous stone tunnels were filled with water for the Zora. They were with a colossal diameter to fit a mass evacuation. 2 tunnels extended into the direction to their respective destinations but only extended till the circumference of Zora's Domain; the northern bridge leads to the land surrounding Toto lake as Zora could swim up waterfalls, and a southern where they could retreat in Ruto lake, then through Zora River before reaching the Lanayru Wetlands. And yet the Yiga had other plans. Their scheme was utilising arrows enchanted by a shaman this allowing arrows to go underwater by having an invisible bubble allowing the same speed underwater. The additional enchanted item was the ignitable powder in the bomb arrow now allowing underwater explosions. Yiga who operated underwater donned a sapphire uniform with bubbles in a belt like a formation and a respirator made out of those forged by a Yiga enchantress. They swam with their Duplex bows on their backs with an objective for swimming towards the tunnels. The northern waters' troop of 5 underwater Yiga had started off the ground under Upland Zorana and the southern water's troop of 8 at the Ralis Pond peaks. These Yiga were hand-picked by Lanayru's Minister of Yiga these people have them being prodigious swimmers almost rivalling the Zora.
Back at the rings of soldiers at the Domain, the soldiers had agreed to have their messenger bird take off a parchment that was only held by the archers to show a signal of slaughter. The bird had returned robbing the corpse of an archer. Yet the news had arrived at the squadron and a sense of tenseness had overlayed over it. Then an army on each of the 3 bridges Hashira piled on it with papers and amber sparks with a variety of ninjato and tanto that was 20 metres away from the Hylians and Sheikah, upon the archways were Yiga footsoldiers wielding Duplex Bows. The Hylians and Sheikah quickly adjusted their shields to be over their heads. A message was quickly relayed in their thoughts, the Yiga were pressuring them to be vulnerable. And alas it was presented as the first dropped down, quickly do have 5 others stabbed or shot. While the tension came in for the survivors only to be met with opponents of blademasters in the inner circle. They charged. Swords clashed, claymores crushed, spears stabbed and arrows flew; Zora's Domain adopted the guise of a battleground.
The blademasters though slow were powerhouses being almost unscathed by the flurry of slashes for them, continuing their own sword's stride, disposing of the soldiers. They were goliaths and expected to be slow yet powerful, yet on the contrary, they had enhanced their arsenal of skills by being alacritous, slicing with a blinding gleam. The footsoldiers were still nestled perfectly to keep sniping, only a few falling into the water below because of 2nd-floor soldiers. The Hashira were closing in clicking through the ring of people to stab many with their tanto and ninjato. Sidon kept close with the hulking mass of Dorephan with an obvious objective to protect him. Sidon was defending with his previously mentioned enhanced Lightscale Trident, the same one Mipha had used over a century ago, as this was not broken by Link before later given back, only for the new professional blacksmiths to work on it. The Zora was admittedly quite brittle in terms of defence but excelled in agility and speed giving a few successful cuts and gaping wounds with their armaments. The Royal Guards were calm displaying their title's worth fighting valiantly even while the battleground came littered with blood, corpses and other organs sliced or shot. The knights unlike the elegant slashes of the Guards were fighters with honour and had almost a barbaric feel. The Royal Knights were the mix of the former mentioned fighting standardly as if a Guard but only increasing its aggressiveness when needed as if it was they were Knights. The Soldiers even though being juniors and less experienced knew better to defend to tire out others, yet the opponents' stamina was unable to be gauged. Guild members were strewn around, their uniform being a Royal Guard's yet the colour scheme depended on the warrior as these magic wielders used different elements which are incorporated into the garb such as fire giving a red gold and orange or ice being shades of light blue. As for the Guild's fighting style, they were a mix of everything aforementioned only with sorcery, as others shot projectiles, fought with their bodies while being enhances by such elements, some even had armour and weapons they personally made for themselves out of their elemental alchemy and many other creative ways to fight.
Now as the air had tensed and the Hylian side was falling the next phase that the army tacticians had sent them with. To corner them into the circle. They all used their Sheikah teleportation. Everyone disappeared in a sapphire flash, except the Zora and Yiga. For the transistory moments, the Yigas ceased analysing the next moments perceptively. Then they appeared to stab many Hashira and Blademasters and though many died a majority was the Hashira the Blademaster only making it feel like irritation in their shoulder, legs, side of their abdomen and many other areas. The next phase was upon them, and slaughter was impeded...for both sides.
