XXII: Deception

Escanor remembered the countless deaths he had executed over all the days he had been in the Castle. His overall tactic was first having a reason to slaughter the victim. The murder is administered in seclusion or with Yiga. He gives them a specific tanto just for them to commit suicide with a quick stab in the intestine. This is done after he had used his preferred way of torment which was their bones being snapped and lacerated that limb in just one fluid movement all the while being tied up. This just shows the deceptiveness seeped with holes of inferior security in Hyrule's community. The Yiga still had instilled fear, even though the Calamity has passed.

The wind and atmosphere changed as the sunset had its glory colours of carmine spreading with additional blends of periwinkle, fuschia and butterscotch. Jean Pericolo Polnareff had eye contact was intense. He had silver hair that stood up in a shape of a cylinder with a flat top. he was of above-average height with cobalt eyes were with a grey hue. Polnareff also sported earrings in the shape of jaggedly halved hearts. Polnareff had a fit frame but wasn't too robust as his previous robust body had faded due to the exercise that he couldn't do because of him being mostly wheelchair-bound and handicapped. He had legs that were made out of Sheikah tech, though didn't work as real legs. He also had a prosthetic right forearm and 2 right fingers. There was also a lilac transparent eye patch that was stylised for his fake eye where an unhealed pale scar was. He had a sleeveless onyx coloured tunic that had a silver lining that had additional light rouge laces. He wore 1 belt with an aureate buckle embedded with the design saying 'Pol'. He had alabaster wrappings over his thighs, with both of them being also replaced by Sheikah tech. He also had a leather neckband above his tunic. He had a pair of short aureate pauldrons engraved with the letters 'Pol' replicating the same design of his belt buckle. He had a jet black arm bracer too on his left arm. "Escanor. Look at this. We're in the same hard place again. It felt so long yet it was 2 years that I was in this place. It was you wasn't it?" he referred to his wheelchair and clunky prosthetics. Escanor had satiric smile. He remembered the scene vividly, what Polnareff was talking about.

It was a monster expedition, and a Lynel was on a conquest for territory but had encountered another of its kind upon Safula Hill. As if anyone would be on territorial conquest they engaged in combat. The regiment that Polnareff lead had torn through other enemy camps beforehand. They had taken sight of the battle between the savage creatures. They were always ready to exterminate any monster that could harm Hyrule's civilians. They all had surrounded them. Then with an unreadable attack within the Lynels battle, they both plunged their weapons. The explosion of flame was flashing over the glinting eyes of Polnareff with a ruined retreat. It took out many soldiers. Polnareff flew away with singed skin and his left toes and 2 right fingers were lost in the radius of the explosive flame. Then a massive hand grabbed him by the neck of his fallen body before launching him at the unscathed Lynels. The Lynels grabbed him and tossed him upwards and slashed Polnareff's mid-thighs off and eye. Next was a portion of his forearm as mutilated. Then one of the Silver Lynels used their hilt's pommel to puncture his rib cage and send him flying into Regencia River. Leaving the countless burnt or suffering corpses of his small unit. He was the only one who survived the Lynel fights. Link was the one who had arrived and slaughtered the creatures. He has washed up at Gerudo Canyon Pass, then later after taken in by some Gerudo in a state of unimaginable pain. They had quelled his pain temporarily before he was sent to Hyrule Castle's medics, where at the time Purah was showcasing her Sheikah archetype. It was very rudimentary almost unfunctional, but very well but she took the opportunity to install it within Polnareff. Purah created 2 legs that were built with silver-painted tech. She realised after building it that it was a failure. He received two realistic fingers two, the pair that didn't look mechanical. He later asked her to replace his forearm with Sheikah tech with a colour of obsidian. She then stitched his hand back on. Overall his Sheikah Tech, though painted, retained the embellishing patterns of the Tech embedded still glowing with a luminescent amber and azure.
