1 MONTH LATER:

Taylor was kissing me and let's just say, I was doing enough of that myself.

It was like our first kiss, he was straddling me - mind you, both of our clothes were on - and I had my hands around his neck, while he cradled my face close to him. Suddenly he turned us both to the side and I fell back onto his bed. He grinned from on top of me, holding himself up by his elbows, his shirt was gone, but his his jeans were still on.

His thumb pulled my bottom lip down. "Brooklyn," He whispered, bending down. His hand moved down my arm, entwining his fingers with mine. His nose brushed my ear, his breath tickling the soft skin on my neck. "You're all I've ever wanted." He'd never said that to me before and I grinned.

"I'm holding myself from kissing you senseless, right now." He rested his forehead in mine, our hands still intertwined.

"Stop holding yourself back." Taylor grinned before crashing his lips down against mine with a power that was not possible in a dream.

Then I woke up.

For the next ten minutes, I cursed out Colton and everything related to him.

Brook, you okay? I ran my hands through my hair, trying to stop the blush creeping up my neck.

"Yeah, just a really . . . good dream."

About Taylor?

I frowned. "How did you know?"

I saw him climb out the window. I chuckled, standing up.

"Don't tell Mom, please?"

Why shouldn't I?

"Because I heard Cameron sneaking in on Friday . . ."

Fine! Bailey slipped out of my room. I slid out of my pajamas and opened my closet. I pulled on a cream short sleeve, a denim button down, black leggings and black studded sneakers. I grabbed my red bag and slid out of the house.

"Brooklyn, honey. Where are you going?" Mom called from the kitchen.

"I'm going on a little drive." I answered, stepping into my car. I didn't know where I was going, but I knew where I wanted to be. I knew that the place where I wanted to be was wrong for me. I pulled out my phone and called my friends.

"Hey, B! What's up?" Sammy answered on the first ring.

"Wanna go for ice cream?"

"Duh!"

"Okay, tell all the girls."

"I will! Okay, bye."

"Bye." I started the car.

---

I licked my ice cream, and sat down on one of the green picnic tables in front of the ice cream parlor. I relished as it slid down my throat, filling my body with a coldness that only came with ice cream. I picked at the peeling green paint, waiting for everyone else. Caddy sat down, her cotton candy ice cream dripping onto her hand. Her brown hair was pulled into a messy bun.

"So, what's with you and Taylor?"

"What?" I nearly dropped my cone, and adjusted my place on the bench.

"Oh, come on. It's like super obvious."

"Nothing's going on . . . anymore."

"I knew it!" She sang.

"What did you know?" Felicity asked, sitting down next to me.

"I knew that something is happening with Taylor and Brooklyn." Caddy said, shoving her ice cream in her mouth.

"Really?" Felicity turned to me.

"No!" I licked my ice cream, a blush creeping up my neck. I could feel his lips on mine and his breath on my neck.

"You're as red as a fire truck!" Sammy exclaimed, plopping down next to Caddy.

"What happened?" Maddie asked, sitting down next to Felicity.

"Taylor and Brooklyn are a thing." Caddy said.

"We're not!" I threw my ice cream cone in the trash can.

"Geez, I was just kidding." Caddy chuckled. I rolled my eyes.

"I'm gonna go."

"No, stay!" Sammy squealed, clutching my arm.

"I, uh have to do something." I slid into my car and pulled out my phone.
