I drove home, in tears. It came to a point where old women would smile apologetically at me. I slid into the house, hoping no one would notice my tear stained face.
"Hon, what's wrong?" Mom asked, looking up from the television. I smiled saddly and ran my hand through my dark hair.
"Talking about it makes it worse." Mom nodded, understanding. I trudged up the stairs, and fell on my bed. Sadness overcame me and I burst into tears, my pillow becoming sopping wet.
Someone tapped my shoulder and I turned. What's wrong? Bailey asked. I held back a sob and told Bailey the whole story, starting from when I met Taylor at the café.
I can't believe he did that to you. I smiled and Bailey reached over to hug me. Bailey nuzzled her head into my hair. She pulled away and signed, I really want to chop him up and toss him in the water as shark bait, but everyone makes mistakes and I know you still like him.
"How could I possibly still like him?"
You're crying your eyes out that he rejected you. I breathed deeply.
"You know me so well."
We are twins. I laughed and hugged her one last time. I pulled away and wiped my eyes.
"Okay, I have one last surprise." I wiped my eyes again and handed the passes to Bailey. Her eyes grew wide.
Thank you so much! She signed, her hands flying frantically.
"Come on, go get ready its in six hours." Bailey squealed silently and ran to her room. I pulled out my phone and created a group message.
Me: What would u guys say if I had passes to the MagCon show 2nite?
Camilla: I'd fricking die. Y?
Me: I actual have passes.
Camilla: OMG! U little. . .I should've gotten more notice! Perfection doesn't come easy.
Me: Shut up. The only one who is perfect is me.
Felicity: OMG! What just happened? U have passes? I'm totes coming.
Me: I'll pick everyone up at 5, k?
Sammy: YASSSS! I'm so gonna make Hayes fall in love with me.
Me: No one is that good of a miracle worker.
Paige: Ooooh! Nice one.
Sammy: I'm flipping both of u off right now.
Paige: She actually is.
Maddie: I is coming. Make sure Carter knows I am his one and only.
Me: I'll try, he might have a gf.
Maddie: Don't joke with me I know he's single.
Caddy: Stalker! And I'm totes coming. Matt is gonna fall in love with me.
Camilla: Back off! He's mine.
Haley: I can't come! Grounded for failing math test.
Caddy: Then y aren't u grounded every day?
Haley: :|
Me: Okay, be ready in two hours.
Camilla: That's not enough time to become gorg.
Me: Then jut be perf.
I slid my phone into my bag and rummaged through my closet, suddenly nervous that I was gonna see Taylor.
I threw on my light wash boyfriend jeans, blue silk tank top, and fuzzy white cardigan. I did my makeup and slipped on some tan ankle boots. Once I got dressed, I stepped into Bailey's room. I waved in her face and took in what she was wearing. She had on a white satin skater skirt and a cropped yellow sweater. Her hair was pulled into a messy bun and she had put in her studded hearing aid.
"Let's go." Bailey nodded, grabbing her purse. I called an Uber and assured Mom we would be back by 12.
"Bye!" I waved at Mom and slid into the Uber car.
I gave the driver our friend's addresses and prepped myself for possible the hardest thing I was going to have to do.

"Omg! I can't believe this." Sammy screeched and admired the venue the boys would be "performing" in. She ran around the room taking pictures with her phone. There were other girls who also were VIP, so we weren't alone. I suddenly felt nervous. If anything I should be angry. I was angry at Taylor. Yet, the thought of seeing him again made my stomach flutter. I couldn't concentrate on how mad I was. Was it awful that I was more nervous than angry? It felt like I was betraying myself.
"Maybe Matt will give me his number." Camilla breathed.
"That's unlikely." We all turned to see Mahogany strutting towards us. Everyone, except me of course, looked her up and down. They gaped at her and pinched themselves to see if this was real.
"Hey, Mahogany." I said and walked over to her, receiving astounded looks from the girls.
"Hey, Brooklyn." Mahogany said, crossing her arms and avoiding my glance.
"Are you mad I didn't call him?" She nodded, her red hair bobbing up and down.
"Well, do you want some evidence?" I slid my phone out of my pocket, opening my recent calls. I showed the phone to Mahogany. She frowned, snatching my phone from my hand.
"That's Tay's number." She handed me my phone and scratched the back of her head.
"Are you still mad at me?" Mahogany shook her head.
"Uh, care to introduce us to your friend?" Paige asked, coming up behind me. I rolled my eyes.
"Mahogany, these are my annoying friends. Annoying friends, this is Mahogany." Paige hit my arm.
"They seem fun," Mahogany said, shrugging. Then a big man dressed in all black stormed into the venue.
"Mahogany, everyone's been looking for you!" He screeched, his voice higher than a chipmunk's. I giggled and Mahogany rolled her eyes at the big man and trudged away.
When Mahogany left, hundreds of people swept into the room, finding places to stand and take selfies. Lipgloss by Lil Mama blasted and the girls around me squealed. The boys danced onto the stage, their arms flailing. Bailey came up behind me and tapped my shoulder.
Did you see Taylor yet? I shook my head and avoided her glance. Bailey sighed and hugged my from the side. I leaned into her, grateful that someone cared about my feelings (*cough cough* not Taylor). I saw Bailey blush out of the corner of my eye and looked between her and Cameron. He was sweating and signing along horribly to Taylor Swift's New Romantics. I turned back to Bailey. Her face was flushed and she was staring at him like he was her savior. A dagger swept through my heart. I used to look at Taylor that way. . . .
"Hey, everyone!" Taylor had appeared on stage, making some girls scream bloody murder, in a good way hopefully. "Before we start, I just a want to say something. I completely ruined something amazing I had with someone because I was being stupid." Every single one of my friends turned to look at me. "I just want you guys to know that there's someone out there for you and when you find them, don't fvck it up like I did. Okay, uh let's start MagCon!" The girls squealed, still confused as to who the mystery girl was.
Suddenly Taylor hopped off stage and sprinted through the crowd towards me. He reached me, out of breath and without his bandana. His brown eyes shone, even though he had hair sprinted towards me. "Brooklyn, c-can we talk after the show?" Taylor asked me, stepping closer. I nodded, dumbstruck. "Good. Well I gotta go." Taylor stared at me a moment too long, his gaze so intense that I had to look away. He sprinted back through the crowd and started the show once again.
