"You called my mom!" I screamed into the phone.
"Yeah. Brooklyn, your little cousin is one and she can't tickle you." I scoffed.
"She could've been a genius." Colton laughed mockingly.
"Why don't you understand?Jesse understood."
"Who's Jesse?"
"She's, uh . . . " Colton paused. "She works in my Grandma's store. I've known her since we were three."
"And you talk to her about us? She hasn't dated me or you. She has no idea what is going on."
"Actually she dated me one summer when we were like 12."
"That makes it even better. You're asking your ex-girlfriend for advice on our relationship."
"Come on, Brook. Don't be upset."
"Upset is an understatement."
"I knew something that'll cheer you up."
"What?" I plopped down in my bed.
"Look out your window."
"Why?" I stood up and walked over to it. I pushed the curtain away, searching for Colton's surprise. Standing by a taxi cab was Colton. I gaped at him and dropped my phone. I ran down stairs and swung open the front door. I ran down the steps and fell into Colton's arms.
"You're here!" Colton nodded and kissed the top of my head. I pulled away slightly and looked up at him. His soft gray eyes already locked on mine. He brought his hand up to kiss my cheek, his thumb rubbing circles on my cheek bone. Colton leaned in, his lips parted slightly, his eyes flitting down mine. His kiss was hungry, our lips moving in synchronization. I slung my arms around his solid shoulders, bringing us closer. Colton slipped his arms around my waist, obliterating any and all space between us. His thumbs slid underneath my top, caressing the soft skin of my lower back. I gasped, allowing his tongue to invade my mouth. I fingered the edges of his collar, the fabric fraying under my touch. My phone buzzed, destroying the peace. Colton pulled away, resting his forehead on mine.
"Are you going to get that?" He breathed. His warm breath caressed my swollen lips.
"No," I leaned in again, my eyes fluttering closed. The buzzing didn't stop and groaned slightly. I slid my phone out o my pocket. It was Caddy.
"Hello?" No one answered, but heavy sobs filled my ears. "Caddy?"
"Brooklyn, h-he . . . " Caddy hiccuped, her breath coming in short bursts.
"Shhhh. Calm down. Breath in . . . and out. In . . . and out." Caddy breathed in deep.
Her voice shook when she spoke again. "Matt went on a date with Camilla." I gasped. "H-he's moved on." She burst into sobs again.
"Tell me what happened."
"I went to the hotel to see Matt. But, he wasn't there and Shawn was. So, Shawn offered to watch something with me until Matt came back." Caddy sniffed. "We watched The Walking Dead and then someone came in." Caddy giggled sadly. "We screamed and then the people who had scared us turned the lights on." Caddy burst into tears again. "Then Matt came in with . . . Camilla"
"Caddy, I'm so sorry." Colton came up behind me and massaged my shoulders.
"I-I should have never told him how I really felt." She hiccuped.
"He probably . . . You should talk to him.
Caddy blew her nose and I cringed. "I think I should talk to Camilla too."
"Yeah, that's not a very good idea. But, I have something going on right now. I'll talk to you later, okay?"
"Yeah, see you." Caddy hung up. I turned to Colton and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Where were we?" Colton grinned and leaned in, his lips warm and inviting.

I stepped between the two very angry "men". "Hey, calm down. We can all go somewhere together." Taylor growled. I rolled my eyes.
"If you so much as touch her, I swear . . . my fist will be the last thing you'll ever see." Colton stepped towards Taylor and I held a hand up, blocking Colton from getting any further.
"I touch her all the time. In fact, every Saturday I'm in town." Taylor smirked at Colton's reddening face.
"Both of you shut up! We are going out, all three of us. I can't be in two places at once." I waited for one of them to retaliate. "I'm gonna change and if I come back and someone is broken then the person who hurt the other one will lose something." Taylor laughed, as if I wasn't serious. "You," I pointed to Taylor. "Will lose your Saturdays. And you," I turned to Colton. "Will not be able to touch me the whole time you're here." They were shell shocked and I took the opportunity to go upstairs. I slid out of my sweatpants and t-shirt and pulled on a high waisted gray skirt, a white halter crop top and, and a pale pink cardigan. I slung my tan cross body bag over my shoulder and walked down the stairs. Colton was sitting on the couch and Taylor was no where to be seen.
"Where's Taylor . . . " I looked around. Taylor was lying on the floor, a bruise growing on his cheek bone. I ran to him and knelt down. "Taylor, hey." I slapped his cheek. "Taylor get up!"
