chapter 12: t

hey y'all sorry for the late update.... again......because i literally didn't update until saturday oops.  i'm still kinda sick so like im a hot mess but it's fine.  i got added to the groups for my like 5 classes that have summer homework for next year so yayyy - jk.  anyway i hope you guys enjoy this chapter!! love all of you <3333

GENERAL POV:

"goodnight jj"

"goodnight em"  

when jj wakes up she notices that she's alone in the room.  

"emily?" 

'well maybe she's in the bathroom' the blonde thinks to herself.  jj sees that the lights off in the bathroom and when she opens the door it's empty.  "

"em?" she calls out again.

"babe, i'm down here"  

"sorry, i couldn't find you for a minute and got kinda nervous"

"awe, you were worried about me" the brunette smiles.  

"yea okay" jj laughed. 

"stop being like that jayje! it's cute.  your cute" she smirked

jj blushed whenever emily talked to her like that.  she was so engulfed in every aspect of emily prentiss that she couldn't ever describe her feelings for the brunette accurately.  

"we have to leave soon blondie" emily chuckled.

"okay, im gonna go brush my teeth and change"

"okay"

jj walked up the stairs and into their bedroom to look at her phone.  the time read 7:26 am, meaning she still had like a half hour until they needed to leave.  she walked into the bathroom where her stuff was and brushed her teeth.  when she was almost done she heard emily walking up the stairs.  jj brushed her hair and did a little bit of mascara so that she wouldn't look like a zombie when they got to the airstrip.  

emily came up and hugged her from behind and kissed her on the cheek. 

"what was that for?" she blushed.  

"you're just so pretty" the brunette agent smiled.  

"and you're up to something"

"me? never!"

jj left emily to finish getting ready, so that she could change.  she got to the bedroom and opened all of the dresser drawers, just to find that they were all empty. 

"em?"

"yea hun?"

"where are our clothes?"

"oh yea" emily giggled, "i packed them already because i didn't know when you were gonna wake up and i wanted to let you sleep as long as possible"

"thank you for being thoughtful but em?"

the brunette just hummed in response

"what am i supposed to wear?"

"i put an outfit on the chair in the corner for you to wear"

jj kissed emily on the cheek and proceeded to get the clothes so she could finally change out of the clothes she had slept in. 

"this isn't my sweatshirt"

"i know" emily winked and walked down the stairs, into the kitchen.  

jj laughed; still dumbfounded by what had just happened

JJ'S POV: 

'she really just walked out' i thought to myself.  

i still had to get dressed so i took off my pajamas and changed into the outfit emily had picked out for me.  black leggings with a white cropped t-shirt and one of her hoodies.  her favorite hoodie, i might add.  when i finished changing i grabbed my phone and went downstairs to find emily.  i stopped in the bathroom first to grab my toothbrush, makeup bag, and hairbrush so i could give them to emily to finish packing.  

emily took my stuff from me and ran to the car so she could throw it in the bags of our stuff.  by now it was basically 8 o'clock, so we decided to leave a few minutes early.

'maybe we'll get a good seat on the jet' i thought.  

we made our way out to the car and i offered to drive but emily quickly shot me down.  she took my hand in hers the second we got settled into the car.  we had like 10 minutes to spare so we took a detour and went to starbucks.  

"you can stay in the car if you want, i'll just run in really quick" 

"you know what i want?"

"of course i know what you want silly"

'oh my god she knows what i want.  that's so cute.' i think im blushing.  'wait stop blushing you're literally basic as fuck she probably gets the same thing'

"be right back" she squeezed my hand and got out.  

not even 5 minutes later she walked out of the door with both of our drinks.  smiling.  she handed me our drinks and we left.  when we got to the airstrip i got out and walked to the trunk.  

"em can you grab my drink? i'm getting the bags"

"yea of course"

we walked up the stairs of the jet one after the other, just a few minutes before 8:30.  of course hotch, rossi, and spence were already on the jet.  spencer was in the single seater reading a book and rossi and hotch were just talking until they saw us.  

"hey guys have a nice 'vacation'?" rossi joked.

"for sure" emily played along.  

i just laughed and hotch cracked the tiniest smile.  

derek walked on the plane and hotch let us know that since we wouldn't be taking off until 9 and then we wouldn't be home until about 2 or 3 that we could just have the rest of the day off.  we all settled into our seats and the plane took off.  

authors note two:

hey guys this chapter is literally so short but i felt so bad for not updating that i figured i might publish what i have written.  i was gonna make this super long but my friends are coming over so i can't finish writing it tonight.  id rather publish this then nothing because i never updated sunday and it's wednesday now.  i would love some feedback or even ideas.  i think that since this is almost done i'm gonna write another fanfic after.  if you have anything specific you want me to write let me know!!  anyways love you all and ill try to write tomorrow <333
