Surprisingly, today is quite calm. Too calm for my liking. I didn't do much in my other class today. It really seems like it's a relaxing day, with no tests or quizzes. I just have to worry about the deadlines, that's it.
Even if the deadlines are a month away, most of my projects are half way done. My self-portrait needs the lower part of my body. The MedTech one-I forgot the name of that weird project-I've found out that it's just a digital 3D model of a brain. So, those two are nearly done. The only thing I need to finish is the photography one.
First thing on the agenda, find my buffoon of a partner, and the best way to find him is to attend Photography class. Well, unless he didn't go to class today because of some health issues, that would be a problem in my behalf. I can try to send him a text, but knowing Jacob, even if he is sick, he'll be in front of a computer screen and doesn't check his phone.
I hug my camera, feeling a bit excited and hopeful, and for the first time, I knew what's the reason for that. It's because of him. I get to see Jacob again, and I'm truly accepting the fact that he's my crush. Snatching up my phone, taking a look at the time. I still have 45 minutes before class starts. Perhaps I should make a detour, exploring the campus a bit more. I didn't have time to explore the campus thoroughly, and this might be the perfect time to do it.
As I turn around the corner of the hallway, I accidentally bump into someone. "Oh, I'm so sorry." Damn, I thought I'm over with bumping into strangers, but I guess not.
"It's okay." A soft, familiar male voice enters my ears. "Just watch where you're going next time." His voice is so caring and nice that gives me an idea of whom the voice is from.
I look up to see who I just bump into. It didn't surprise me to see Amon, but it did surprise me seeing him looking like he just lost all the bright colors in his soul. "Hey, Amon. What's wrong?" I can't help but feel empathetic to him. He's a friend and I want to help bring back that signature Amon's smile on his face.
"Nothing is wrong. Don't worry about me." He gives me that smile that seems forced. He rests his hand on my head, it seems like he's patting my head. "Isn't there someone you're looking for?"
How did he know? Is he a psychic or something? Maybe it's that obvious that I'm looking for someone? "Well yeah," I feel secured whenever someone gives me a head-pats. "Have you seen Jacob?"
"Just follow this hallway, until you see a big oak tree. He's there." As if it's on cue, he immediately left me after he said the direction to find Jacob.
Did I say something bad? He looks like he's in pain. Did I hurt him because I mentioned Jacob's name? I promise Nancy that Amon wouldn't be a problem, but it seems like he is becoming a problem.
Fuck, I want to follow him, I really do, but I need to find Jacob first and ask him what happened between him and Amon, because I have a feeling it's between them.
I quicken my pace to find Jacob, if I don't know what's wrong with Amon, perhaps Jacob could tell me. Again, as if I have this magnet to make me bump into random strangers. "Oh, God, I'm so sorry." I glance up to see who the hell did I bump into this time. To my surprise, it's that girl that broke up with Jacob in the first day of class.
"It's fine." Her voice sounds soft, but there's a certain sting to it. As sassy her voice is, her walking away from me is also sassy. Quite a weird day today, really.
I shrug that encounter off, and continue my quest on finding this idiot because I have two questions. What's up with Amon, and Who was the girl who broke off with him? I just hope I'll find him before class even starts because I kinda need the answers immediately before I overthink it.
