Some Are Worth The Pain

Foolish came around Tommy's home the day after the little forest adventure the boy had had. Foolish wanted to check on the boy especially after the accident. Nikki had fully recovered and had confessed everything she and Jack had planned to do to kill the boy. She had admitted that she blamed the boy for everything that went wrong since she was in denial about how Wilbur had played a bigger part in the downfall. After all that had been said Nikki had been put into therapy with Puffy. Jack admitted that he felt that he was always overlooked and even looked down on be Tommy. He didn't have a specific reason he just felt like he would always be stuck in the boy's shadow so he, in a time of grief and anger, thought that if they killed the boy then he wouldn't just be a shadow. Then after that Jack was also put into therapy with Puffy so the two adults could manage their feelings and trauma in a positive way. The two were constantly asking for the boy to try and apologize but the boy tended to manage to disappear every time.

Foolish understood how Tommy felt though. When someone you thought of as a sister admits she blames you for everything bad that happens and wanted to kill you. And then someone else you saw as a good friend that you could trust with anything wants to kill you. It has to be hard to face them and remember how they almost succeeded and how you had almost dies trying to protect one of them after they planned how to kill you off. Foolish couldn't blame the boy for avoiding the pair. Honestly Foolish wishes he could gift his name to the pair since they seem to be more foolish than anyone. Honestly he couldn't imagine trying to get rid of a child for being manipulated and used the way Tommy was, and then being thrown under the bus as the boy was. He was manipulated, abused, and used as a child weapon. Then after surviving that he was pinned for things he didn't do or take part in.

Foolish found the boy at Henry's grave. The boy was sleeping so peacefully so Foolish quietly sat on the other side of the grave. He laid back and watched the clouds pass by and even tried to imagine them as shapes and things. Eventually he did fall asleep under the sunny sky while cloud watching.

Tommy woke up from a sort of nightmare though it was more like a memory that was slightly morphed. Tommy was panicked as he looked around hearing a quiet rustling sound. He looked down and saw Foolish in his golden sleeping glory. Tommy smiled and look up to see Ghostbur coming their way with Friend by his side in their sassy glory as well. Tommy would never admit it out loud but he knew these were his reason for staying around. As far as he could see these were the people (and sheep) that were worth the pain. They would never intentionally hurt him and they treat him like the child he is without trying to make fun of him or antagonize him. They pulled him out of a dark lonely place. They meant the world to him. If anything happened to either of the men here or the sheep Tommy doesn't know if he could ever recover.
