Tommy and his mother eventually had to part ways and so they did with a final hug and a little kiss on the head for Tommy they went about their days. This time Tommy noticed the crows and how they each had at least one golden feather and felt comfort. She was serious about keeping an eye on him. He liked it since she watched over him as her child but didn't try to control every step. He made his way back home where Ghostbur paced at the door anxiously. Tommy smiled as he opened the door and opened his arms for his big brother and Ghostbur was happy to comply. They hugged until Ghostbur was completely sure the blonde boy was all right and safe.

Foolish chuckled and patted Tommy on the shoulder welcoming him back and simply asking if all went well. Tommy happily nodded assuring them it had all went well. Then Purpled came up with Friend and waved showing that while he was gone they finished packing and setting everything up for them to leave. This excited Tommy even more smiling so hard his cheeks were starting to hurt. He was happy they could finally leave just them and his mother's crows. They started planning how to all get out seeing as the L'Manburg people have been having patrols around Tommy's house. They planned for a while until they settled on a way. After they had settled all the last minute details the other went home to fully prepare themselves get together any last sentimental pieces to go. Seeing as once they leave they don't plan to come back any time soon.

While preparing and going on about his business trying to keep from running into people Tommy saw a spider running around. He laughed as it looked like it was confused before it made its way to Tommy and let out a little hiss at him. Tommy looked at the spider before letting out an aw as it wasn't a threatening hiss. Tommy started his way back home only to hear little steps behind him and as he looked back he saw the little spider following him. He just kept walking home thinking it might leave once it sees something more interesting. When he got home he looked back to see the little spider still there so he smiled and squatted down opening his arms. As soon as he opened his arms the little spider turned into a child with still spider traits and the little child ran into his arms curling up. This caused Tommy to aw even louder deciding to name the child Shroud. He then also realized the poor child was dirty, bruised, and with no clothes so he took him inside. He bathed the child and dressed him in some old clothes just while he made the child some of his own. Shroud smiled letting out little hisses exploring the house deciding he picked a good human to follow. Tommy just sat in his rocking chair having prepared everything for the leave and got to knitting little Shroud a sweater since some places they go through would be very cold. Shroud eventually settled after exploring and sat on Tommy's lap curling up for a nap feeling safe in this human's arms and Tommy just hummed to the child as he knitted.
