Tommy had woken up to Foolish and Ghostbur making breakfast and looked over to see Purpled also just waking up and Friend laying between the two acting as a pillow. Friend gently nudged the blonde and tilted her head towards the window where a crow stood. The crow had a note tied to its leg. Tommy stood and went to the bird with some caution as there are only two people this bird could be from. Tommy watched as the bird help up her leg waiting for the boy to take the note. Tommy eventually took the note and the bird took off as soon as he did clearly whoever sent it did not want or expect a reply. He opened the note and read it then went to his room and changed. Ghostbur gave him an odd look as he went by and offered breakfast as soon as he came out changed.

Tommy accepted the breakfast and after eating his meal told them he would be back soon. Purpled nodded and and went back to his food while Foolish just told him to be careful. Ghostbur was a bit more iffy on him leaving and alone at that seeing as Tommy had not had a good streak going on. Before Ghost could deny the boy or do anything other than open his mouth Friend bit onto his sweater and shook his head. With that Ghostbur let out a worried sigh and nodded as well. Tommy smiles at them and reassured them he would be careful and safe then headed out.

It was a bit before he could get to the location on the paper. Once he was there he sat on one of the stones in the forest clearing. Just as he relaxed he saw a shadow cover the sun so he opened his eyes. Tommy smiles as there before him stood Death herself in all her glory. He stood quickly to hug his mother who he had not seen in a good while. She was quick to hold her child only to come to two realizations. One he looked so tired and worn and two his beautiful wings were missing his two biggest prides which he used to boast about. They were gone and as she held him she lightly touched where they should be only to feel stumps instead. A feeling of anger and dread filled her as she looked down at her child who once was brighter than the sun. He didn't shine as he used to. He was not dull as he held some joy and some pride, and for that she was thankful otherwise she would not have been able to hold back her rage. She would have a big chat with her husband very soon. But for now she would just hold her child close and enjoy this moment of peace and love.

Tommy and Mumza had been talking about everything and anything while Mumza refused to let him go. Then it got to telling her about the move and he wasn't sure how to say it. Death then smiled at her sweet boy and assured him she knew of their plan to run as she had her crows keep an eye on him recently. She also let him know that she supported him on leaving with these three. They were good for him and they cared for him. Maybe they could even help him repair the damage other caused him. Tommy didn't realize how scared he was of her reaction until he heard her words and let out a big sigh of relief and almost felt like crying. Since he came back this is the first time someone other than his three had trusted him to make the right decision. He just cried in his mother's arms as she held him and reassured him that she trusted him.

After letting out all he could he smiled and thanked his mother for the trust. She held his face and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead reassuring him that she would keep an eye on him from now on. She handed him a necklace that had a pitch black feather on one side and a golden one on the other side with a diamond in the middle. She put it on him and said should he ever need serious help to take the gem and step on it. She also told him that he should leave treats for the birds. He quickly nodded and agreed thanking her again. Why she chose today he didn't know but he was grateful. Honestly he had worried that it would have been Philza who showed up ready to hurt him for one reason or another as some people have. He was incredibly grateful that it was his mother who had showed up though and that she still loved him even with how many people seemed to have stopped loving him.
