After a bit more conversation Big Q finally left while rambling something about a restaurant. Tommy was curious actually thinking of the new things around. Tommy did actually spend his time looking at the new things instead of spending more time with his painful thoughts. Tommy saw his cobble tower of power had been taken down and there they had put signs up instead. There at the sign Bad and Ant were taking down the flyer reminding people of Ranboo and Tubbo's wedding and putting a poster promoting the Eggpire. Tommy just silently shuffled past them trying not to dwell on the loss of his tower and the reminder of the deep pain. Instead when he saw the Drug Caravan he ran to it smiling. How had it stayed intact? Either way Tommy was fine with not knowing and went inside to look around. There everything was exactly the same nothing had changed in there. It made Tommy think of the old days. Before the wars, the fights, the hurt, and the betrayals. Just some pals tryna start a country and a grumpy admin disagreeing. Back when nothing could stop Tommy or put out his flame. Back when they all cared deeply for each other.
Tommy felt something wet hit his hand that was on the counter in front of him. He looked down as more tears flowed down. It hurts and yet is comforting to think of the past. The good memories made Tommy smile and chuckle. The bad made Tommy compare it to worse moments from the present and think about how much easier he had it back then...how much easier they ALL had it back then. Tommy took a second and just sat on the floor against the counter. He let the memories just flow out and just float around. In a way Tommy felt he was coming to terms with how shit everything had gone for him and everyone around him. Painful acceptance was all Tommy felt in the moment. There was nothing he could do to change anything. Things happened and this is the result of it. The consequences of the actions if you would.
