it was your naked soul I fell in love with
though I had memorised every single mark
upon your naked flesh.
I knew the route the scars led me to
you had mapped out a course
that led me right to heaven.
it was your absinth gaze
that held me close and whispered
of long forgotten tales.
your secrets hid in the shadows
watched us from afar as we melted
right into lies.
it was the green fire that burnt me
scorched me down to the marrow
of my bones.
but i never forget
how could I forget?
someone so deep
and painfully perfect as you.
