Stars flicker
stars die
smile upon your lips
sorrow in your eyes.
a house upon the hill
overlooks the sea
every ounce of pain
radiates to me.
your words gentle
your heart it breaks
the little pills in the cupboard
you slowly take.
wash it down with whiskey
was them down with tears
close your eyes now, Michael
there's nothing more to fear.
