One second in time
Steal me a heartbeat
And for this dance be mine.
Offer me a memory
Just a fragmented thought
Offer me a dream
For the demons I have fought.
Give me a touch
For a moment of bliss
Give me a shattered world
For this heart-breaking kiss.
Sacrifice once again
One moment of you
Sacrifice this illusion
That this love may be true.
I close my eyes
And hold you tight
Swaying to the back-beat
Of this bitter-sweet night
