You slither then crawl
your way into this soul....
lost
have you lost your way?
You bleed and tarnish
the pristine white....
heart
is yours made of stone?
Incubus lover
demon diamond disaster divine
Your flawed beauty
a scab on the patch of skin I trace
every night when the moon cracks overhead
like the skull of the very last swan that has sung
just for me.
I hear the melody
her voice rises, hitches, touches
the heavens and beyond.
I have counted a million
feathers but you
you betray promises
with the touch of your lips.
I wander thought the darkened allies
you swore you'd never be found in
I see you
there, alone
a needle stabbed into your heart.
I sit with you as you perish and count the
marks on your arms, and match
each one with the stars
in the sky.
