Under darkened highlights
and secondary gloom
love came and went all too soon.
Shadowed hearts weep
in a darkened corner of your mind
when time has been so unkind.
Melancholy madness
shackled up with golden chains
your soul is beautifully insane.
Surrounded by velvet walls
you've locked yourself inside
to try and salvage whatever is left of your pride.
Boy in a box
I will keep you safe and warm
save whatever is left after your violent storm.
