Kai's POV

We were on our way to the venue to celebrate our success until Master Makarov called me.

"Kai, I need a word with you." He said. So, I went near him.

"What is it, Master?" I asked.

"The SS-Class Advancement Examination will start tomorrow." He said.

"What?" I gasped then Laxus and Mirajane went near us.

"This is necessary to test all of the mages here in Fairy Tail." Laxus said.

"And the first one who will go first is Minako." Master Makarov said.

"Master..." Mirajane said.

"You mean that this won't be the same as our anscestors before?" I asked and Master shook his head.

"The little kid should know this, Gramps..." Laxus suggested.

"I agree. You go get her, Kai." He ordered. I nodded and went to the forest.

I was ordered by Master Makarov to find Minako for an important news. 

"MINAKO!!!" I called. As I was about to go to the forest, I saw Minako approaching me.

"KAI!" She called as she ran towards me.

"Minako, where have you been? We've been looking all over for you." I said.

"I--- Uh..." She was about to speak but stopped.

"Never mind... Master wants to see you in his office now. Come with me!" I said and held her hand to run fast going to Master's office. I held her hand... This is nerve wrecking...

As we arrived in the office, Master is already in his desk. Mirajane and Laxus were on his side. And then I took off her hand and leaned on the table.

"W-What is going on?" She asked.

"Minako, there's an important task from us that you need to do." Mirajane said in a serious tone.

"W-W-What task?" She asked.

"The SS-Class Advancement Exam." Laxus answered and she was in shock.

"EH!?!?!?" She gasped.

"It is important for all of the mages to undergo with this Advancement Exam. But, Master decided to have this test individually." I explained.

"And we wanted to start this exam with you. We will start the exam tomorrow." Master said and pointed at her.

"SS-Class..." She said while looking on the floor as I stared at her. I can see that she's nervous.

"Are you ready for it?" Master asked. Then, she lift her head high and looked at Master with her serious face that I have never seen before.

"I am." She said.

"We'll see you tomorrow. Kai will pick you up tomorrow." He said and she nodded.

"By the way, we were on our way to the venue for the celebration. Are you coming? I know that Carla is with Ren and the others." Mirajane asked.

"Maybe some other time... Not tonight... Just tell Carla to stay at Ren's place for now." She said and left.

"O-Okay???" Mirajane commented with confusion.

"Then, we better get going... Kai, go after her." Master ordered. I nodded and ran after Minako.
