Rogue's POV

I'm here in Sabertooth's balcony looking in the sky full of stars. It was peaceful, it reminds me of her.

"It's been seven years..." I said. Then, I took the photo that she cut.

Flashback...

It's Minako's 10th birthday so I decided to buy a necklace for her. It is an Opal necklace fit for her personality.

"I can't wait for her reaction..." I said with a smile. Suddenly, I smelled something burning.

"What's that?" I thought. I smelled it even more. And it's very close to her place.

"Minako!" I thought and ran to her place that is burning right in front of me. I saw rescue team putting down the fire and they saved three casualties. It's her parents and Aunt Alice.

"Sir, it is confirmed that these people are Matsui, Misaki and Alice Arisato." The rescuer said and I cried.

"There's still no sign for the child." He said which made me shock. And then I ran into the woods. I screamed her name and ran until I saw her old eye patch. Which only mean one thing... It made me cry out loud.

"MINAKOOOOOO!!!" I screamed and cried. Suddenly, a blonde boy came.

"Are you lost?" He asked. I tried to stop my tears but I can't.

"Y-You lost someone you love?" He asked. I nodded as my reply. Then an old man came to me.

"Little boy, what is your name?" The old man asked.

"R-Rogue..." I answered.

"Well, Rogue, I'm Jiemma Orland. The Guild Master of Sabertooth. The little kid here is Sting Eucliff." He asked. I was in shock seeing a Guild Master.

"Sabertooth?" I asked.

"I bet you lost someone you love. Do you want to avenge that person?" He asked. I nodded.

"Then join our guild." Sting said with a smile.

End of Flashback...

"Minako..." I said to myself. Then, Sting, Frosch and Lector came. Frosch and Lecter are the exceeds here in Sabertooth.

"ROGUE!!!" They called. Frosch landed on my shoulder.

"Hi Frosch." I said. Then, Frosch saw Minako's picture seven years ago.

"You still have her picture?" Sting asked.

"This is the only memory I have from her. I can't let it go to waste." I said.

"If she is still alive, I wanted to meet her. She seems kind of nice." Lector said.

"You can tell that she is nice, Lector." I said.

"So, Rogue, how did you two meet?" Sting suddenly asked which made me blush.

"C'mon, you haven't told anything about her." He said.

"Say, tell us about your friend." Lector teased.

"Frosch wants to hear it." Frosch said. So, I have no choice but to tell them.

"Well... It started in 9 years ago... We first met at the river where you and Master Jiemma told me to join Sabertooth... She saw me looking at my reflection and suddenly fell into the water. But that time, I can't swim so she is the one who saved me. After that, we became close for two years. And then... that incident happened on her 10th birthday. That's all I remember..." I told them. And then I saw Lector and Frosch crying.
