Luca's POV

We already got back from the port of Hargeon Town with Master Makarov, Laxus, Mirajane and Kai. Minako went out for a bit but Master said that she'll catch up.

"Everyone gather around for a very important announcement!!!" Master said then Laxus, Mirajane, and Kai went on the stage. So, we gathered around the center of the guild.

"What's this about, Master?" Ren asked.

"This is part of our tradition that we do. And this is the event that you've been waiting for..." He said.

"You mean---" Happy commented.

"Yes! It's the S-Class Advancement Exam!" Kai said. All of the mages inside the guild were shouting with joy because of the exam.

"I'M ALL FIRED UP!!!" Ren screamed.

"THIS IS IT!!!" Elfman screamed as well. 

"Now, now..." Master was about to speak but all of the mages were still celebrating. 

"SHUT IT!!!" Kai screamed and all of us were in silent.

"Thank you, Kai. Now then, since there will be a S-Class Advancement Exam, we will choose seven mages who will take this exam." Master said. Mages began to whisper with each other.

"Only seven?" Rin asked.

"I bet those lucky seven were powerful." I said.

"Aside from that, those seven chosen mages will also choose their own partner. But, in your case, Dragneel Quadruplets, you cannot have your Exceeds as your partner." Makarov added.

"WHAT?!?!?!" The Quadruplets reacted.

"The five Exceeds will only accompany their Dragon Slayers. But, they will never join in the battle." Kai explained. 

"Oh~~~" Rin and Ran reacted.

"Well, that would make sense." Ron said.

"At least we will be with you, Ren!!!" Happy said.

"YOU SAID IT!!!" Ren replied with a smile.

"What are we going to do in the exam?" Ran asked.

"We will tell the details by the time we announce the chosen mages." Mirajane answered. 

"Oh!!!~~~" All of us mages reacted.

"So now, we will let you guys train if you want. And next week, we will announce the chosen mages." Laxus said. Then, all of the mages cheered for this upcoming S-Class Exam.

"I'M ALL FIRED UP!!!" Ren screamed.

"Better get ready for the battle if both of us were chosen for the Exam." I said to Ren.

"Oh~~ You bet!!!" Ren said with a smirk.

"These boys..." Kai said.

"You said it, Kai..." Rin said to Kai.

Meanwhile...

As Makarov arrived at his office, he saw Masquerade on his window. So, he closed the door and went towards Masquerade.

"You can take off your mask... No one's coming up." He said. So, Masquerade took off the mask and turned back to normal.

"You haven't told them about me being the New SS-Class?" Minako asked then Makarov shook his head.
