Minako was assigned to go to a Special exam called the SS-Class Advancement Exam. She will go to Tenrou Island along with Master Makarov and the S-Class members, Kai, Mirajane and Laxus. Although after the exam, Jose Porla, former guild master of Phantom Lord reappeared to seek revenge on Fairy Tail. And they will have another battle with them along with Sabertooth's Twin Dragons, Sting and Rogue.
