"What did you say to him," Olivia asked, stealing a fry from Spencer's plate when his attention was on his phone.

"Told him I have no problem fighting a teammate and walked out. Dude has had a problem with me ever since the beginning of the school year," Spencer explained. "And I saw that."

"Saw what," Olivia played coy.

"Hey kids, what's for lunch," GW barged into the kitchen and peered over Olivia's shoulder.

"You sure are spending a lot of time with us lately, GW," Olivia smiled at her grandfather and pushed over the plate of burgers that were fresh off the grill. "We're celebrating Spencer getting his first offer."

"You grilled these," GW questioned, cautiously taking a burger from the plate.

"Yes, don't worry they are good. I'm sure this one would be honest with me, right," Olivia looked to Spencer who was taking another bite. "The future All-American approves."

"I guess I can trust Spencer. Where's your brother, he was supposed to be watching film with me?"

"With Simone. They had errands to run and should be back later. What's Jordan watching film for," she asked in confusion causing Spencer to cough. Their workouts were still private and Spencer hoped Jordan had not told Willie about them just yet. Olivia and Simone would have a field day with that information.

"Just because the boy isn't playing doesn't mean the learning stops. Let me know when he gets back. Until then, I'm going to enjoy this burger. You two stay out of trouble," GW grabbed his plate and headed towards the living room where an NFL game was playing.

"Anyway, what does this Frausto guy have against you? Have you talked to my dad," Olivia continued.

"Your dad picked up on the animosity. Everything will be good though so stop your worrying, Liv," Spencer smiled, caressing Olivia's cheek.

"Sorry, I hate to see you all stressed out. You should be celebrating this offer and the win. Your teammates are assholes," Olivia replied. Ever since the offer, Spencer was feeling the heat from certain players on his team, specifically Frausto who walked into practice every day with an attitude.

"Why are you always trying to fight people? That's my job," Spencer laughed, picking up on Olivia's change in demeanor.

"Only the people that deserve it and anyone messing with you is on my list," Olivia held up her fist and threw a jab.

"Calm down, Ali. But I appreciate you caring about me though."

"Of course," she grinned. The moment of silence between them gave Spencer time to lean in before GW's voice could be heard from the living room.

"Liv you got the Baker grilling gene," GW exclaimed coming back into the kitchen for seconds.

Spencer and Olivia snickered at the interruption and kept eating as if GW didn't almost barge in on a possible makeout session.

Next Day

The team seemed to be falling apart at the wrong time. After Spencer pushed everyone to their limit in the last game, including himself, a few of his teammates had words for him. Frausto, his on and off again nemesis, had the most to say and it was messing with the team's chemistry. As a leader, Spencer did what he needed to do to keep his temper in check. He spent more time in the weight room and even scheduled more sessions with Dr. Spears at Billy's expense. He needed his star player to be in tip-top shape not only physically but also mentally.
