Olivia did everything to distract herself from thinking about the failed girls' night with Layla because of the villain of the evening, Carrie. Why would she even bring a tag along when it was supposed to be about them working on their friendship? They still hadn't discussed their friendship and most importantly the topic they had been avoiding for weeks. What Layla had shared with Carrie hurt Olivia to her core because she already felt guilty about their situation and her relapse. She ran away from Spencer in Vegas because she didn't want to hurt Layla again, even if it meant hurting herself in the end. Why was this friendship such a chore to keep on the right path? Things weren't this complicated when they were kids and Olivia missed when their friendship was simple.

"Liv," Laura was standing in the doorway watching her daughter draw. She could sense Olivia was still bothered by the events a few nights ago. "You doing okay?"

Trying to be more honest about her feelings she opened up to her mother, "No, I'm not. Do you think my friendship with Layla is toxic?"

Laura sighed and joined Olivia on the bed, "I think you two love each other very much and right now you're in a weird place."

"But are we toxic? Layla's new friend seems to think we are. Probably based on things Layla told her about me," Olivia replied, tears filling the brims of her eyes. "I made my mistakes but I'm trying to fix it."

"Oh sweetie, don't cry," Laura pulled her daughter to her chest. "You can't control what other people do or say and you can't control how they accept your apologies. Stop trying to force things to work if they aren't working right now. If you two are meant to be friends, it'll happen on its own."

Olivia knew her mother was right. Rushing to become friends again wouldn't make the friendship stronger. After her relapse, Olivia's guilt about a lot of things seemed to get worse. Talking with Nurse Joy and her addiction counselor was helping but she still found herself trying to repair all the things she thought she broke. "I don't want her to hate me. The whole thing with Asher and Spencer-" Before Olivia could catch herself, she was spilling beans she wasn't ready to reveal yet.

"Spencer? What happened with Spencer," Laura questioned. She remembered Jordan's comment about Olivia liking their new housemate but didn't think anything about it after that.

"Um...uhh....it's a long story," Olivia stuttered, realizing her mother wasn't leaving until she heard every detail.

"Spill it. I'm all ears," Laura smiled, sliding her shoes off and scooting back against the headboard. Olivia groaned in defeat. .

The morning sun beamed down on Spencer and Jordan as they wrapped up their workout session. Jordan was slowly getting back into shape, even though they had barely worked on football drills. Spencer wanted to ease into drills even with Jordan in his ear telling him he was more than ready.

"Give it two more weeks. I'm not about to be the reason you knock your brain out your ears," Spencer suggested, stretching his hamstrings.

"Ouch. You didn't have to be that graphic," Jordan frowned, the thought of Spencer's statement making his head ache. "By the way, are you going to that Friendsgiving thing Patience is throwing?"

"She told me about it. Not sure if I'm going though. I'm not trying to be around a lot of drama right now," Spencer replied.

"Drama meaning Layla or Coop," Jordan pressed, stretching his arms above his head.

"Both. I haven't talked to Layla since right after the breakup and Coop...well she's still not fooling with me. I'm good on that." Patience had told Spencer about  Friendsgiving at school the day before and Spencer said he'd think about it. It wasn't like he was afraid to see Coop or Layla but he wasn't in the mood for cold shoulders or the possible heated discussions that could occur. He'd rather have those talks in a different setting.
