16. It was my birthday not long after we moved to New York, of course I was alone that birthday.
I was the new kid at school and I didn't exactly fit in, not many people in New York wanted to hang out with the tomboy skater girl.
I was bullied a lot, not that I wasn't used to it, thanks to Chloe. But my school didn't have a Marinette, who brought out the best in everyone.
Instead of my class all being friends we were all mortal enemies. But I wasn't really down about that, I didn't want to be friends with any of those nut jobs anyways.
I was most disappointed since last year after I'd been akumatized Kim promised to make my next birthday amazing. But instead I was sitting at home by myself while Dad and Jalil were at work.
Since I was alone I decided now was a good time to see what was going on with the timeline.
So naturally I went to my still not all the way unpacked room, the room smelt like gym socks. Reminded me of Kim's room, which hadn't really helped my mood.
Fluff greeted me, bursting with questions as soon as I gave her the ok to talk. But I wasn't really focusing on my kwami, a picture frame sticking out of the top of a box caught my eye.
I pulled it out and read the date on the back. 2015, last year. Before me and Kim had that race before I was akumatized into Timebreaker Alya took a picture of us lined up at the starting line and our friends cheering us....well me on.
I smiled at the action packed picture. I set the frame on my dresser and pulled my watch out of my pocket, staring at the intricate metal engravings.
I smiled, even though this piece of metal was what got me akumatized it taught me a lesson that made me worthy in Ladybug's eyes to hold the Miraculous of the rabbit, the miraculous of evolution.
It taught me to be responsible for my actions and made me feel a little like Spider-Man? I don't know.
Fluff floated next to me, examining the picture, I tilted it in her direction letting her soak in what she was looking at. It always took Fluff a moment to calculate what time the picture was taken at in time since she'd seen so much.
But for being the only kwami that can time travel Fluff was terrible at giving spoilers. An example? She told me that I was having my favorite for dinner, which would have been way more exciting if I hadn't known.
She also told me my dad was getting me a car for my birthday when he got home tonight, so that's fun.
"Those are your friends from Paris right?", Fluff inquired rather energetically. "Yeah, you remember Marinette and Adrien, they're Ladybug and Cat noir. You've heard or seen pictures of all the others though", I responded kindly.
Fluff nodded, clearly still processing but since apparently my dad was going to be home in an hour I wouldn't have much time to look through the timeline and I had to make sure that nothing in the world of miraculous had tilted to far to the dark side.
Because you see, there's a balance. There will always be good and always be bad until the end of time where good will prevail.
But as of now, the holder of the rabbit's responsibility is supposed to make sure the smallest amount of people die to keep the good and bad even.
So say, if some guy somewhere in the timeline didn't have a food truck on the left side of the road but on the right side it would save 307 lives from a incident with a miraculous or a powerful object like the prodigious.
