"Dad, where are we going"? Tate yawned as he peeked out the window.

"Going to see grandpa". Kayce yawned as well, trying to stay awake.

"Good. I love grandpa". Tate said sleepily.

"Me too, kiddo". Kayce held your hand as he drove, you and the kids were sleeping. Getting four kids packed and out the door was tiring. Thankfully they slept the whole trip.

Kayce turned down the driveway to his fathers ranch. He hadn't see him in years. After you found out you were pregnant with the triplets, Kayce agreed that he needed to get his family away for awhile and let us parent them how we wanted. But it was time to go back and let the family meet the triplets.

"Welcome home, son". John Dutton met his son on the front porch.

"Hey, dad". Kayce said with a smile and went to hug his father.

"Come on, kids". Kayce motioned for the Dutton triplets to come out. Tate was already running to his grandfather.

"I missed you". John hugged Tate long and tight. They had a great bond.

The three little rug rats came lagging out. Still sleepy. They were three now and old enough to travel and meet the family.

Kayce went to introduce them but John stepped in "Let me guess. Ashton, the little rebel". He picked up the dirty little blond haired toddler.

"Put down now". Ashton yelled. He wasnt much of a hugger. John chuckled. But gave him a hug anyways.

"This must be Lee". John put down his brother and picked up Lee, who wrapped his arms around John's neck and hugged him. "Yeah, just like your uncle". John sniffled.

"And you must be Evie". John gushed over his first granddaughter. She looked just like Evelyn, her grandmother. The boys looked just like Kayce. But definitely had your attitude and sass.

"Evelyn Rose". Kayce replied, you both never told John or his siblings that she was named after his mother. Just called her Evie when you sent pictures.

John's lip began to quiver as he picked up Evelyn Rose and hugged her tight. "Your mother would be proud. I am. A beautiful family". John sniffled.

"Alright, let's cut the sappiness and get some breakfast. You guys must be starving". John chuckled, wrapping his arm around your shoulder and kissed the top of your head.

"I eat lots". Lee took off to the front door. He was just like his uncle.

"Bacon and pancakes. No waffles". Evelyn screamed and her little face contorted with excitement.

"We'll eat whatever they have, kids". Kayce sternly spoke, snatching up Ashton who was about to take off to the stables.

"I want waffles". Evelyn growled, dead eyed Kayce.

"She's like Beth". John laughed.

"You going to handle the little demon"? Kayce let out a chuckle, eyeing you.

"Me? I'm not the one that let's her get away with murder".

"Dont fuss. We have tons of food. If we dont, I'll get someone to run and get it". John calmly told Kayce.

"Dont go to to much trouble, dad".

"Quiet, boy. These are my grandbabies. I can spoil them as much as I want".

You all walked into the house. It smelt amazing liking walking into a bakery on Christmas.

The big table was set up and food was in fancy bowls and plates. It was a special occasion. All the family was there, Beth and Rip, Jamie, even the cowboys that worked on the ranch.

"You didn't have to do all this"? Kayce sighed happily, wrapping his around around your waist.

"All my kids are here. It's a reason to celebrate. I would like to say, I'm very thankful you're all here. Your mom and Lee are missed but they're always in our hearts. Thanks for showing up and being a part of this family.
Let's dig in". John sat at the top of the table. Kayce got the boys settled in their seats and they didnt wait. They dove into the feast. Beth came up to John who was playing with Evelyn Rose. "She's got mom's eyes". You over heard Beth tell her father. They all looked so happy.

Hoping and praying this stays this way. But tomorrow is never promised, especially for a Dutton.
