"Bye Chloe! I'll see you later!" My mom yells from the front door.

"Bye mom!" I return.

I listen as her car unlocks and she gets in. I hear the car start and the sound grows quieter as she drives away.

This is it.

I reach under my bed and pull out bags full of stuff.

I go over to my closet and get out my full suitcase.

I then go into the bathroom and get ready for the day, putting everything in a bag once I am done.

I then go into my shower, taking everything out and throwing it into a waterproof bag as things are still a little wet.

I didn't want to empty things out too soon in case my mom noticed.

I needed to make sure my bathroom looked normal and so did my bedroom.

I also go through my room and shove anything from on my dresser or shelves that I want to take inside a bag.

I throw on my outfit for the day, everything being old and things I never wear.

Chances are they will be stained with blood before the day is over, so I don't want to ruin anything I want to keep.

I also pack up electronics and everything else I need.

When Massi drops me off later, it is just going to be me in the clothes I am wearing. I am not going to be able to take anything with me after I talk to my parents.

I start to bring everything downstairs and put it by the front door.

After like ten trips, everything is downstairs.

I go up to my room one more time.

On my dresser sits a lone picture of my family on vacation in Spain two years ago.

My shelves are full of random little things like expired lotions, notepads, old jewelry I never wear, and books I never plan on reading again.

I look through all of my dresser drawers again, making sure I don't want anything and it is all just old clothes that are not my style anymore.

My closet is full of tops and sweaters, jackets and dresses, things I just never wear anymore.

I take one last look that everything I need is no longer here before I head back downstairs.

It takes me quite a few trips and it is a bit of a struggle, but I manage to fit everything in my car, every inch is packed besides the driver's seat.

I make the familiar drive over to Massi's house.

When I arrive, I park out front and text him that I am here.

Within a minute or so, he is outside and ready to help me.

"How big do you think my house is?" He jokes upon seeing my car that is packed as full as it can be.

"It isn't all coming inside, I just can't leave it at home." I explain. Some of it can just stay in my car for a while until I find a place to live. I don't need to bring in winter clothes, all my shoes, blankets, or pictures. A lot can just crowd my car for a bit.

"I know that." He says, "What should I take in?" He asks me.

I told him I was only staying for a night, but I know him, and he is going to force me to stay for at least a week, if not, longer.

"Here." I say, handing him a heavy bag full of all of my bathroom things.

My suitcase has a pair of shoes in it, along with my laptop and enough clothes to last me a week, so everything I need is in the bag and the suitcase.

I lock my car as we head inside.

We take my things up to his room, I leave the suitcase against a wall before taking the bag from him and taking it into the bathroom.

I pull out things like my hairbrush, toothbrush, retainer, contacts, and toothpaste, but, I leave things like shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, lotion, exfoliator, tampons, and most of my makeup in the bag.

Once I have everything ready for tonight, I lay down on Massi's bed.

I still have hours before I have to go home.

I think the best option is for me to go home once both my parents are home, so my mom does not have the time to ask questions before my dad gets home about where my car is and such.

I know the second I get here I am going to want to crash, today is going to be eventful.

"Are you sure that you are okay, and that you want to go through with this?" Massi asks me as he sits on his bed.

"Yes, I am." I assure him. "But I will warn you, it might be a bit messy when I get here, I bleed easily." I say.

I am doing the right thing.

The day flies by much faster than I want it to, as I am terrified for the moment that has finally arrived.

Massi's parents are almost home, and my dad is just getting home from work now, so now is when I decided we should leave.

I follow Massi to his driveway and I get into the passenger seat of his car, as two people cannot fit in mine at the moment.

My mother texted me and asked about my location, but I just did not respond, I left my phone and car keys at Massi's house.

My parents will have nothing to take from me if they tried.

Besides maybe my life.

The drive is quicker than I want it to be.

My heart starts racing as he puts his car in park.

"Are you sure?" He asks me again.

All I can do is nod.

"I love you." He reminds me.

"I love you too." I say back.

"Be safe, I will see you in less than an hour, I will be texting Rachel the entire time to know when you are safe." He says.

I lean over and kiss him before I need to head inside.

"Chloe, this isn't goodbye." He says pulling away, I guess that is the vibe I sent out and that is what I am feeling. "I will see you soon."

"I love you." I repeat before getting out of his car.

As I walk to my house he drives away, making sure my parents do not see him or know who he is.

I do not need them hurting him too.

I take a deep breath and shake as I open the front door.

It's my first day at a new college! I graduated this spring from a 2 year school, and today marks my first day at my 4 year school! Gods lick everyone!
