The entirety of graduation was long and boring.

But thank goodness that not many people in my graduating class have a last name that starts with a C.

Massi and I ended up next to each other. Too bad we couldn't talk. My parents would ground me for a month for 'talking to someone like him'.

At least my parents are not too strict. I told them that Sabrina is having a sleepover at her house again, this time to celebrate graduation. Luckily, they were fine with me spending another night 'at Sabrina's'.

Bryan decided to have everyone over to his house following graduation, not as a party, but just for us all to celebrate and have fun.

He invited all his friends over, and mine as well, so the group is going to be rather large, well, okay there will be like ten people, but that is a lot to me.

We are all going to go swimming and have fun outside before we have a bonfire and just a few of us are spending the night.

Bryan is one of the best friends I could ever have.

He is so supportive of Massi and I and always goes out of his way to keep us together.

Shortly after the graduation ceremony, we all head to Bryan's. Music can be heard from the back.

I grab my bag from the passenger seat of my car and make the short journey to Bryan's house.

I open the door and allow myself in.

The house is empty, as everyone is outside.

I lead myself to the nearest bathroom and put on my red one piece swimsuit, followed by sunscreen and my swimsuit coverup.

I am one of the first ones here, so far it is only Bryan and the friends he drove here, Devon, Travis, Damon, and Jason.

Sabrina sends me a quick text saying that her Rachel and Elle are on their way, Jennifer is unfortunately unable to come as her mom wants her to be home to celebrate her graduation.

"Chloe, come on, get in!" Damon yells to me.

"Yeah, come on!" Bryan adds.

I roll my eyes and throw my hair up before taking off my coverup and heading to the stairs if the pool.

"Oh, come on." Bryan says before coming over to me, grabbing me and dragging me deeper into the pool.

"Thanks." I reply once he puts me down.

After a few minutes, Massi arrives and joins us in the pool.

Once Sabrina, Rachel, and Elle arrive, Rachel and Elle join us in the pool as well.

It doesn't take much time for the chaos to begin, water flies everywhere and no one is protected from getting dunked under the water at any given moment.

I let out a quick shriek as I feel someone pull my foot from under the water, pulling me under the water.

"Travis!" I exclaim as I resurface.

Once everyone gets some energy out, we all decide to just relax in the pool. Quite a few people rest on floating lounge chairs, a few people are inside getting drinks.

"Hey Chloe." Bryan says, coming up to me as I wait for Massi to return with my water.

"What do you want?" I ask him, scared of what he is going to do.

"I just wanted to tell you that I'm glad you had a fun birthday yesterday." He lets me know.

"What do you mean?" I ask him, suspicious on where he is going with this.

"All the water washed the makeup off your neck." He informs me.

I just gasp as my hand moves to my neck that I forgot was clearly not the right color in some places.

"You know Chloe, as much as I don't want to share my best friend with anyone, if I have to, I'm glad it's you." He tells me.

"Thanks." I say with a smile.

"But I'm not going to lie. It's kind of awkward seeing that on your neck and knowing my best friend did that to you." He adds.

"Shut up." I say with a laugh, sending water his way.

At that point, Massi returns with my water and returns to the pool.

Pretty soon, Bryan tells us that it is time for the water balloons.

As much as they are a waste of rubber, gosh they are fun.

We are quick to split into two sides, as the bins sit on two sides of the yard.

I start throwing water balloons at people on the other side, not really hitting anyone with my awful aim.

I laugh as I manage to hit Sabrina just as she does the same to me.

Once all the water balloons are gone, everyone calms down.

I scream as cold water gets poured on my head.

"Damon, Bryan!" I yell at the boys who just doused me in water. "What was that for?" I ask them.

"You are the shortest." Damon says with a shrug.

Apparently when I turned around to yell at them, Rachel and Elle decided to recruit Travis in pouring the other bucket of freezing cold water over my head.

"Are you serious?" I squeal.

"Happy birthday!" Travis responds.

Once we are done with the water balloons, we return to the pool and play a few more games.

As it starts to get dark, people start to leave, Sabrina, Elle, and Rachel being the first to go.

The rest of us have all changed into comfortable clothes, I wear loose shorts that I can sleep in and a random shirt.

We sit around the warm fire and just talk.

Jason leaves shortly after the other three, Devon leaves around the same time, and that leaves those of us who are staying the night.

I'm not going to lie, I am a little frightened to spend the night with Bryan, Travis, and Damon after everything they have done with me today.

Once it is pitch black outside, we decide to finish the bonfire and head to bed.

We all pile into the living room, that is huge.

Travis passes out almost instantly as his head hit the pillow he put on the couch.

Bryan and Damon share an air mattress that is on one side of the room, leaving Massi and I with one on the other side of the room.

Once I lay down, Massi wraps his arms around me tightly, pulling me close to him.

"Goodnight, I love you." Massi whispers to me.

"I love you too." I whisper back, as I fall asleep quickly as he holds me in his arms.

I wanna die.
