away

I woke up to the smell of freshly washed sheets and a man next to me. I don't exactly remember where I am but I know I don't ever want to leave. I felt no pain here I felt, safe.

"Wake up." I slowly felt a hand on my face.

I rolled over to find Matt laying next to me shirtless.

"Uh... Good morning." I said in a quiet whisper from waking up.

"How are you feeling?" He asked grabbing food off the table.

"Fine." I said confused.

"I mean fine Sir." I corrected myself.

"Are you hungry." He said putting food on his plate.

"Not really. " I was to confused to eat.

"Well you should eat." He said handing me a plate with a bagel on it.

"I have to go I'll be back." He said grabbing his coat.

He had just gotten back and I wanted to know where he was going but, I knew better than to ask questions.

I decided to take a shower because who knew when Matt was going to be home.

I got in the shower and washed my hair and noticed a hickey on the side of my neck. But I thought we just slept? I finished my shower but on fresh cloths room service left me and just watched television until Matt came back.

"We're staying for another night." He said walking into the bathroom.

"Why? Is everything okay?" I asked from the bed.

"Yeah it's fine but I have to take a shower." He said closing the bathroom door and proceeding with his shower.

I think he would have ask me to join him but he saw my hair was already wet.

I finished watching my T.V. show until Matt got out of the shower.

Matt finished his shower and walked out of the bathroom with just a towel around his waist.

"We have to go, put this on." Matt said throwing light pink dress on the bed in front of me.

"Where are we going?" I asked not taking my eyes off the dress.

"My father wants to have lunch." He said already half way dressed putting his tie on.

"Don't you think it's a little to early to have lunch?" I asked since I just ate breakfast and it was eleven in the morning.

Matthew just sighed.

"I don't know darling." He said a little annoyed and looking at me.

"Ugh okay." I said taking my dress and walking to the bathroom.

"There are shoes on the bathroom counter." Matthew said before I walked into the bathroom.

I closed the door behind me and put the dress on the counter. Looking at myself and what a hot mess I was. I grabbed my phone and read all the messages Jess had sent me.

She complained about why I didn't come home and why I didn't text her back.

Oh well.

I just texted her back and told her I had to stay with Matt and everything was fine.

I put the dress on and realized how beautiful of a dress it was and how expensive it must have been. I fixed my hair and makeup and walked of the bathroom.

"Ready?" Matt asked.

Dang it I left my shoes in the bathroom.

"Ugh yeah." I said walking back into the bathroom and put my shoes on.

"Let's go." I said walking to the door.

"Ladies first." Matt said opening the door.

We walked through the lobby and through the door and to his car.

"Where is Mike?" I asked. Mike is Matt's driver Matt rarely drove by himself.

"Not here." He said, smirked then got in the car.

We got in the car and started driving away from town. I didn't want to ask questions but we weren't near any restaurants.

"Let's go." Matt said after parking in some sort of woods.

It didn't bother asking where we were going I just learned not to ask questions.

We were surrounded by beautiful flowers and tall trees with vines and long branches hanging on them. We kept walking further until we reached a beautiful cabin. I wasn't sure if it was the way the light was hitting it or what but the cabin looked so beautiful.

"It was built for my mother but ever since she died no one comes up here anymore." Matt said looking at it with sorrow in his eyes.

I knew his mother was dead. He got drunk one night about a year ago and spilled everything. It made me happy that he could trust me.

"Ever since my dad re-married that other hooker he forgot it was even up here." Matt said.

"It's so beautiful." I could barely get the words out of my mouth starring at the beautiful scenery.

"Well good I'm glad you like it because it's yours. I just want you to have a place to go if you ever need." He said gently.

"Matt that's so sweet but I could never." I said struggling of breath between each word.

"It's no problem we don't use it and it even includes the canoe." He said joking.

I had never seen him like this it was so sweet and made me so happy to see him like this.

But with him saying that I noticed the beautiful pond in front of the cabin. This place was perfect for a family, perfect for a life.

"Well anyways I just wanted to let you know it was yours whenever you need it." He said putting his hands into his pockets and looking down.

I know this must have been hard for him. Ever since his mom died he had just been Sir or what everyone though of him but I knew that he was really a good guy.

"I love it." I said grabbing his hand. He hesitated at first but he just held it right back.
