Why Hufflepuff is an awesome house to be in (plus a comic!)

Just after I'd read the Philosopher's Stone, I found out some information about the Hogwarts houses and signed up to Pottermore with my big sister, almost certain I'd get Ravenclaw in the sorting quiz. When I ended up getting Hufflepuff, I was rather disappointed. I already loved Ravenclaw for lots of reasons even though no characters from this house had appeared yet- they had dark blue for their house colour, which is one of my favourite colours, they had an awesome emblem animal, the eagle, my big sister was in it, and they just had a cool name! At that time, compared to Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff just seemed boring with their yellow house colour, badger emblem animal, and I thought that if you got into that house you were thick and unintelligent. At least I thought I was smart and creative enough to get into Ravenclaw... But then my sister told me that she actually wants to be in Hufflepuff because they are hard-working, loyal, and kind. She told me the flaws of the other houses: Gryffindors often charge into doing risky or foolish things without thinking about it; Slytherin was 'all evil' which I actually believed for a while but now I'm glad I don't, and Ravenclaws were stuck-up.She also said 'we should swap houses' though you can't actually do that on Pottermore. This didn't do much to make me feel better because I didn't think my big sister was arrogant! But now I've learnt that Hufflepuff is a brilliant house to be in, espicially through the personality of Cedric Diggory. In the Hufflepuff welcome message, it says that Newt Scamander, 'the world authority on magical creatures' was in this house, and even '...congratulations on becoming a member of the friendliest, most decent and most tenacious house of them all.' More reasons I am glad to be a Hufflepuff is that people from my house are often good at Herbology (which is one of the subjects I reckon I'd be best at) badgers are actually very cute and cool animals, I have learnt to like bright canary yellow now, we have a nice, cosy common room, and of course the courageous Cedric was in Hufflepuff! Scroll down the page to check out an epic comic I found on Pinterest. It is so like me- right down to the girl's brown hair which my hair is like! If you're a Hufflepuff, did you want to be in or thought you would be in another house before you did the quiz? If so, what house is it? By the way the comic is by a user called ShamanEileen on deviantART.
