Here's my (long) opinion on the sixth HP book! I would greatly appreciate it you read this, vote, and comment! (Warning:Spoilers ahead!)

You may be surprised by this, but I enjoyed the Half-Blood Prince more than Owner of the Phoenix, as it left me with even more startling truths. Dumbledore has tragically died, McGonagall is the Headmistress of Hogwarts, Slughorn is the new Head of Slytherin, Snape is the 'Half-Blood Prince (so he isn't a Pureblood, which most Slytherins are) the locket Horcrux is fake, the real Horcrux was stolen by someone with the initials RAB, and...Hogwarts might shut down because of the danger from Voldemort and the Death Eaters?! So much to comprehend! Though I thoroughly enjoyed this great book. (Well, of course you've got to enjoy a Harry Potter book!)

I never really found Dumbledore an exciting character until this book, and I now finally have a favourite couple, or even ship! (This may be subject to change in the fianal book.)

I found out a lot about how important and kind Dumbledore was. Even in the most stressful situations, he always made an effort to remain calm and collected. He also found good in everyone, despite some people being horrible to him. (like Draco!) I think that these are good values to have, It is rather sad that Dumbledore went through so much suffering in the sea cave for waht Harry found out is a fake Horcrux. The final book and Hogwarts is going to be very different without Albus Dumbledore.

Now for a more positive side of the story: Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks is my favouite couple, despite not seeing much romance between them. Before I read The Half-Blood Prince I saw some artwork and fanfictoin about Lupin and Tonks and thought 'What? They can't be an actual couple!  Lupin is way older than Tonks! But with proof from J.K Rowling, I don't care about that. Tonks confessed her love for Lupin, and while he says he is too old and dangerous, a werewolf, I think he totally deserves her. I'm very glad Bill married Fleur instead of Tonks! Otherwise we would not have this awesome couple.

For a while Peter Pettigrew/Wormtail and Dementors were my least favourite things/people in the series, until I read about Fenrir Greyback and Inferi, that is. Greyback is disgusting, and Inferi are on a similar level of creepiness (is that even a word?) to Dementors-ugh! I'm going to stop talking about not-so-cool creatures or poeple in this series now.

Buckbeak seems to love bashing Slytherins, dosen't he? (Both times good reasons, though. I'm supporting you, Beaky! I'm on your side! First he attacked Draco for calling him 'a great, ugly brute' and then Snape for murdering Dumbledore. "Buckbeak had flown at Snape, who staggered backwards as the razor-sharp claws slashed at him". Good on Beaky for doing that! He's feisty, and I like him that way. Like Hermione, he takes people that annoy him seriously and gets them back for insulting him!

It was interesting to see Narcissa's love, or rather liking, for Snape. Or does liking sound like it should be used in a sentence relating to food, like 'My dog has a liking for steak'? Anyway, she was just probably missing her real husband, and wanted Snape to protect Draco.
