II. The Possibility - All Alone with Another Guy?! (Part 5) Not believable

Xander stopped in X-Zone 23 (formerly state of Maine).
He wondered why Lander wasn’t messing him up. Well that is good but it’s already noon and Lander wasn’t up yet. He went to Lander’s cockpit to inform him that they’ll gonna check this zone for probable survivor and to say out loud that it’s already noon.
He knocked but no one answers back. He knocked again for several times still no response. Out of patience he opened the door using the spare key. He saw Lander covered with blanket. He started to get irritated.
“Oi, lazy mutt…move out…we’ll explore this place!” he yelled.
Lander just move but didn’t say anything.
“Argh…look it’s not the time to be lazy around…Now MOVE!” Xander took off the blanket on Lander’s body with force. Small groan was heard.
“Argh…don’t play around now, fix yourself…I’ll be waiting outside…” Xander went off.
Lander was sick but Xander thought that he was faking it and so take it lightly.
“Hmpt…why is he like that…I am sick!” Lander shouted out at his brain but too weak to tell it out loud. Why would he complain, he is just a freeloader.
Lander fixed himself and went out. He looked pale. Xander noticed it but again ignore it.
“I’ll go at the third building west, you move on the east…” Xander commanded. Lander just nod.

Lander went to a semi-rounded dome. He was a bit dizzy and wasn’t able to detect the presence of the enemies.
He was surrounded by the military type zombie armada.
“Argh…just great…huff…huff…” he ran and used his detonated bomb.
“KABOOOM!”
The explosion radiated on the ground and Xander felt it. He detected Lander’s exact location and went in.
The dome was destroyed. The zombies started to turn into dust. He looked on Lander and saw him unconscious.

Xander carry him to their van.
Lander woke up and saw some prepared soup on his bedside table. Xander was standing at the door.
He spoke, “So you really are sick…”
Lander replied, “ ’F cours…cough…cough…”
Xander was guilty. “Okay…take a rest…call me if you need something…” he was moving out when,
“Hey aren’t you gonna apologize?” Lander complained.
“What?! It’s your fault why I didn’t believe in you!” Xander rebutted. Long silence.
Then…
“Hey, fed me!” Lander diverted the discussion.
“Huh?!” Xander was pissed, “…go to h***!”
“Sniff…sniff…” Lander was hurt and covered himself with the blanket.
“Darnnit…” Xander cursed him but end up feeding Lander.
“Say…aaaaaaah…” Xander did like a mother feeding her baby but in pissy way.
Lander didn’t eat until Xander became softy.

After the not so good nursing on the sick Lander with the pissy Xander, Lander made a statement.
“Hey, thanks for take caring on me…even if you didn’t like it…no worry I’ll take care of you when you got sick!” Lander beamed. Xander blushed.
“Idiot, that won’t happen!” Xander replied.
