"Hange What?"I asked again. Mike shook his head. He had repeated himself a few times now. And you still didn't want to believe it. Or you just have a very defective hearing. Sighing, he pulled his head back. And before you could react, his hand already reached your back.
I grunted. Wincing as I bend backward. I didn't want to admit it, but his smack did help me out a bit. I glared at him, spotting the grin he had on his face. I guess that he had always wanted to do that. Furrowing my brows, I sighed.
"Hange has overworked herself-"
"Once again." I sighed, "I can't even go right now. Guess I actually have to go on the day of the trial."
Shaking my head in disappointment. I got off my stallion, jumping off onto the ground. I sighed, combing my hand through its black mane. It came up, nuzzling its face onto the palms of my hands.
"Did you name him yet," Mike asked, curious? "It's been a month since you met him. Surely you named the horse."
I frowned, scratching the back of its neck. Watching it neigh in satisfaction from all the attention it was receiving. Sliding my hand across the horse, patting it. I grabbed his noseband, leading it to the stables. Of course, I stopped midway when I remembered I had to answer Mike's question.
"Can't. Too busy."
Mike furrowed his brows, towering over me. And he knew I hated it when he used his height against me. I sighed, walking ahead, leading the stallion to the stables. Who were just a few fields away?
"Can't? You mean you don't want to."
"Not a time to pick a fight with me, Mike. I have been out of it." I groaned, yanking the bands as the horse neighs. Stopping in the dirt. Not budging. "For your information, I don't have time to talk to you either."
I sighed, finally force the horse to get into the stall. Closing the fence, preventing it from escaping. Surprising to me, Mike had followed me over here. I rolled my eyes, walking away from him. Creating some distance between us. I didn't want unnecessary conflict.
"You don't want to get attached."
"True."
"So you admitted it."
I didn't glance back, "Yeah, I did. What are you going to do about it, Mike? I honestly thought you were going to be the last person that will ever pick a fight with me." I frowned, "I guess I'm wrong." I closed the door, "I'm always wrong." I mumbled under my breath. Making my way to Hange's office.
"When will I ever be right..."
—————
"How did it go?"
Mike closed the door behind him. Glaring at Erwin, who seems to be more interested in his paperwork. Mike sighed, taking a seat in front of him. Still upset at the blond.
