I didn't want to go back to the manga and rewrite everything that happened at capturing Annie. So as a very smart author, I'm skipping all that as it's very boring. Traumatizing kids isn't for me . . .

TW: ⚠️Metions of neglection, abandonment, suicide and abuse. Read at your own risk ⚠️

In the dimly lit room, the sound of water dripping onto the piles of dirty plates. Each one covered with filth and food, unwashed and it seems like it was kept there from years. Even if it was unwashed, it was almost clean because of the insects that ate off  it, eating their full. Like a bunch of animals.

Crumbs of moldy bread and cheese, smeared butter on plates. Everyone of them came with their personal flies. Buzzing sounds, flies feasting on their precious food. Tiny, molecular holes, made by big, fat maggots that slid into and out of the molding meal in big swarms. The windows were covered with dust, littered with the same maggots and files that roamed the place rent free.

The smell was atrocious. No one dare to get near the house, the stench was too god damn awful to even get close. But yet inside there was a little girl, sitting inside the house. Knees up, squeezed against her chest. Cradling as she moved back and forth on her toes, aimlessly staring at the wall stained with blood. Eyes empty as she seen it all. Everything and anything, there she sat.

Droplets of water race down the plates, the faucet was never closed correctly. But no one knew for sure when the faucet was ever opened. No one knew if anyone lived in the small abandoned shack. Yet she didn't care, she didn't want to be bothered either way.

That was until one day, people dare to approach the house. Their chattering outside the door brought a strain to the young girl's ears. It's been ages since she had heard any other voices besides hers. Actually it been ages since she ever heard anyone. Even herself, as she had nothing to say while she stared at the dirty wall.

The visitors had no manners as they barged in, kicking open the door. Laughing at each other's jokes without an care in the world. But they halted in their steps, the stench coming from the house overtook their senses. It brought deadly headaches to them all. They hurriedly pinched the bridge of their nose, gagging at the smell. Their eyes peered into the abandoned home, though it didn't need to wander around too long. Since it latched themself on the two big lumps on the floor, covered with a white sheet.

It wasn't discreet, as the pool of blood under it could be seen from afar. They immediately knew what it was. But yet, they walked straight inside towards the two lumps. As each of them grabbed the end of the bloody sheet, counting down from three, they uncovered it. Indeed underneath the white sheet, there laid two rotting corpse.

They couldn't make out the faces as maggots and other insects had already taken quite a big bite from it. The corpses face was disintegrated, skull could be seen, teeth intact but covered with blood. The only thing that was persevered other then bones was an blue eyeball. It stared back at them, with half of its face eaten off. The whole house seem unsettling now.
