Franky wakes up the next morning feeling refreshed and stress free; as if she isn't about to start not only her first case as a lawyer, but one against her top nemesis. She looks over at the empty pillow next to her and smiles at the slight indentation from her wife, the only physical sign in the room that she was there. She turns to look at the clock and realizes that it's only five thirty; an hour before her alarm is set to go off. She reaches over, turns it off, then gets out of bed and redressed.
After a quick shower, she tiptoes into their room, and smiles as she sees Bridget with her pillow wrapped in her arms. She recalls doing the same with Bridget's pillow when she was away at her conference, longing for the scent of her lover. As a warmth begins to fill her body, she quickly searches for her outfit for court and leaves the room just as quietly to dress in the bathroom.
Bridget wakes up at seven thirty to her alarm. She shuts it off and lays back on her pillow, a smile across her face as she stares up at the ceiling. Oh how she missed her love and can't wait for tonight when she asks her to join her once again, in their room. With the trial preparation done, and hopefully a successful day in court, they can start focusing on reconnecting. As hard as the past couple days had been for them, it was necessary for Franky to realize that she can't keep things bottled up all the time. But she also learned that she can't keep jumping to the conclusion that Franky is unfaithful when things get tough. She's not like her past girlfriends and she needs to start talking to Franky just as much.
A half hour later, Bridget finds Boomer already in the kitchen when she walks in and heads for the coffee machine. "Franky isn't up yet?" She asks with concern. Boomer shakes her head. "She's not here." Bridget looks at her with surprise and sees Boomer pointing to a sheet of paper on the counter.
"Gidge my love. You have no idea how thankful I am for last night, including letting me sleep. You know neither one of us would have had you stayed. So much so, that if I didn't leave before you woke this morning, nothing would have stopped me from ravishing you again and again. I love you so much Spunky. See you in court. – F"
Bridget looks up as a warmth pools between her legs. Boomer smiles and holds up a sheet of paper. "She left me one too. Apparently not as good as yours though." Bridget can't help but to blush. She goes back to getting her coffee and a small breakfast when Boomer breaks the silence. "You know, she must really love you. She never did that before or allowed anyone else to do it either." Bridget looks up from her coffee with intrigue. Boomer motions toward her collarbone, causing Bridget to blush again. "She never wanted to draw attention to anyone she was with, or herself for that matter. Didn't want it used against her or them. But things are different on the outside. She is different with you. Softer, better. And totally in love." Bridget chuckles as Boomer laughs. "You are so good for her Bridget. I'm so happy for you both."
By nine-thirty, everyone has settled into the courtroom in preparation for the ten o'clock case. Bridget can't help but to blush when she catches her wife wearing her dimpled smile, having caught her perving over her courtroom attire; designer pant suit with a crisp white blouse and her hair flowing down to her shoulders. Franky winks at her before continuing her scan of the room. She nods at Maxine who is seated next to "Rosie" and Boomer. As she looks back towards Bridget, she sees a frown upon her wife's face as a familiar blonde approaches her. She watches the conversation and the tension leave her wife's body. When Bridget nods in her direction, she realizes it's Erica as she turns to face her. It's Franky's turn to tense up, but Fessler takes her arm and squeezes it. "She's here to support you Franky. Nothing more." Franky turns and smiles slightly to Fessler, then looks back at Bridget who gives a small nod, then a thumbs up just to make sure she got the message. Franky smiles and turns around to take her seat.
