***Rachel's p.o.v***
I hummed happily to myself as I skipped towards the guildhall. Suddenly, someone grabbed my arm and roughly pulled me aside. I quickly got defensive before I gasped, "Laxus!"
Laxus stared down at me harshly as he gripped my arm hard. I tried to yank my arm back, but Laxus wouldn't let go. "Laxus what is-"
"Why have you been going to Sabertooth so much? I know it's not about your magic so don't lie to me," Laxus glared.
"It's none of your business. Now let me go Lax-"
"Are you cheating on Freed?" Laxus asked harshly.
I stopped, "Am I - What?!?"
"Are you-" Laxus attempted to repeat.
"What?! No! Why would you think that? I would never cheat on Freed! What in the world made you think that?!?" I questioned him.
"You've been heading off to Sabertooth almost every day without telling us what you've been doing. Then Rufus called looking for you yesterday and freaked out upon seeing Freed answer instead," Laxus defended.
"So that's what Rufus was talking about..." I mumbled to myself.
"Rachel what is going on?" Laxus asked letting go of me and crossing his arms.
I sighed before I explained to him what I've been up to.
"Wait, that's what you've been doing?" Laxus gapped in surprised.
"Yes, now please keep it a secret. I don't want to spoil the surprise. Wait- actually this might work," I smiled.
"What?" Laxus questioned confused.
"I need your help to finish my plan. Actually, tell Bickslow and Ever as well. I need you and Bickslow to take Freed for a guy's sleepover night or something. You can't let Freed back into the house until I'm ready. Not tonight or tomorrow, but don't tell anybody else or he might get suspicious. Do you think you guys can distract him for me?" I asked him.
"Yeah, we can do that, but what about the whole thing about Freed thinking that you're cheating?" Laxus questioned.
I sighed, thinking it over for a second before shaking my head.
"We'll have to worry about that later. If I try to explain anything now, I'll just spoil the surprise. I'm not spoiling it after planning it for so long, for now we're just going to have to leave him in the dark," I sighed.
***Timeskip*** ***Later that night***
Knock. Knock. Knock.
"Bicks, Laxus; Freed told me you were coming. Come in," I said letting them in.
"Freed! Laxus and Bickslow are here!" I called up the stairs getting no response.
Lately Freed has been distant and cold, often ignoring me. I didn't know what was going on until Laxus told me that he and the others assumed I was cheating on him. I feel really bad that that is what he assumes, but hopefully when this is all over everything will go back to normal, but only if my plan works.
"Bickslow, you know the plan, right?" I whispered to him.
Bickslow grinned giving me a thumbs up.
