*****There's a slight trigger warning for this chapter. It might upset some people. You have been warned.*****

***Rachel's p.o.v***

After the girls left, I tidied up and put everything back before getting myself ready for the day. As I was fixing up my hair, I heard a knock from my front door. Wondering who it was, I rushed downstairs to the door.

***Freed's p.o.v***

After knocking on Rachel's door, I calmly waited as the door opened. I was surprised and caught off guard as I saw Rachel in front of me in her usual outfit... without her jacket. I blushed deeply.

"Oh Freed! What are you doing here?" Rachel asks letting me in.

I cleared my throat before responding, "Master has an urgent mission for us to complete and wishes for us to leave as soon as possible."

Rachel nods responding, "I'll go grab my things. I'll be right back."

I nod with a slight blush as she heads up the stairs. I let out of breath I didn't think I was holding as I waited for her to return. She returns shortly with her jacket on as she asks, "Ready?"

I nod as we headed out.

***Rachel's p.o.v***

Freed explains the mission as we travel by train to our destination. Apparently, an explorer got caught in a temple full of rune traps and needs rescuing. His family set out a request since he hasn't come home yet. There are probably other traps then just runes. That's why Master wanted me to go on this mission, as well as to make sure the explorers health is ok. As Freed explains this, I can't help but be embarrassed from before that I forgot my jacket. 'That's why he was so red! I can't believe I forgot my jacket! I didn't even notice until I went back upstairs! Ugh!' I yelled to myself in thought.

"Sounds good," I responded as Freed finishes his explanation.

We arrived, and after talking with our client and a quick hike, we make it to the temple cavern. Before we headed in, I turned to Freed saying, "I should probably go in first. I'll use my eye magic to detect any traps and you can disable them."

Freed nods in agreement as we head in.

"Spirit Shine," I muttered, creating a small sphere of light and letting it hover above my head, lighting the way in front of us. Activating my eye magic, I glanced around for any traps as we proceeded forward. I stopped, and Freed stopped right behind me.

"Right here, there's some runes on the ground and on the surrounding walls," I whispered to him, pointing them out. Freed takes out his sword, tapping the runes to reveal them, and begins to rewrite them as I glanced around for any more traps.

Freed taps my shoulder telling me he's finished. I glanced back at him surprised. "Wow Freed, that was fast," I remarked impressed.

Freed smiles, "Of course."

I smiled as we proceeded forward. There were a decent amount of traps, a few nearly got us, but we pulled through. Soon enough, after disabling another trap, we heard a shuffle.

"Is anyone there?" I asked, Freed taking out his sword.

"We're mages from Fairytail and we're here to help," Freed calls out to the darkness.
