Preparations for Yoongi and Jimin's departure already started a few days ago. First, they needed to find out who was Yoongi's past clients and any other clients that might have been connected to Monsta X somehow. Yoongi also had to remember all of the items that he delivered for his clients and any information that may be valuable to the enemy group. It was hard, and their preparations for the plan is tedious work since Yoongi was not allowed any other information by his clients about the items and information that he was delivering or any of the instructions given to him had no reason and explanation why he had to do it, he was just given money as a reward for his deeds.
In those couple of days, they had spread the word of the plan to their allies who borders the enemy territory in the most discrete way possible not to alert Monsta X of their plan. The group still thinks that whatever valuable item that was stolen from them is still in Yoongi's hands. Telling the group that he doesn't have it would not suffice without sufficient proof, and because they now know that Yoongi is working and living under Bangtan's roof, so they would all assume that it was all a trick.
Being in his current situation where his life is on the line is a terrifying feeling for Yoongi; he had already been in the same position once, more than a year ago. That same night that he was taken and was threatened to be killed in front of a crowd of people, Kihyun died in the hands of his once lover. There is a lot to unpack about that night, and yet, Jimin and Yoongi still have not taken the time to talk about it.
Yoongi and Jimin are both scared of what might happen or what the other might say or think if they bring up the topic for a conversation. As of right now, they try to avoid talking about it to avoid any awkward tensions between the group and to avoid the pain that it might bring when they try to uncover the past. But the pain will always remain no matter how much they try to avoid it because they were both there, they saw what happened, and they both know nothing good will come out of talking about it even if they both wanted closure.
Kihyun's death has placed a gentle reminder that even the person you trust most can still stab you in the back without warning.
As of right now, Yoongi and Jimin's relationship is at peace and is on hold. They necessarily are not titled friends, but they sure are more than acquaintances. They both show that they still care for each other, even if it is not in a romantic way. Yoongi thinks that Jimin still cares about him because of the many years that they had spent together and because Jimin is used to always saving Yoongi in his times of need.
Jimin's friends and gangmates are still wary about where Jimin and Yoongi may stand in terms of their current relationship and situation. Bangtan used to be suspicious of Yoongi, but seeing as how Jimin is so worried about him, they didn't have a choice but take care of Yoongi too. Time has passed, and they managed to form a bond with him even if Yoongi is still a bit shy when they're around him; they think it's probably because Yoongi had spent so much time alone and never had a single ally that he doesn't trust people that easily anymore.
