(A/N: I'm basing their schools on how schools are here in Canada.)
Between the three best friends, Kihyun has always been the other two's wingman. Even when they were back in middle school, Kihyun already knew the obvious crush that Jimin had on his best friend, and while Yoongi wouldn't personally admit to himself because he doesn't want the world to know that he still has the ability to romantically like someone, Yoongi has taken a liking to Jimin all because he thought he was cute.
Kihyun knew his two best friends like the back of his hand, so for the rest of middle school, he tried experimenting with ways to push the two together, and it was relatively easy for him since the only hindrance was that both boys were shy around each other.
"Jimin-ah, you can walk with Yoongi home, okay?" Kihyun pats the said boy on his shoulder, who only looked at him with a confused expression on his face. "The school called my parents to 'talk,' so I have to stay with them."
"But I thought your parents were out abroad for a business trip?" Jimin raised a brow, taking his bag from his locker and facing his best friend.
Kihyun shrugged and closed his locker, "They arrived early this morning."
The younger wanted to ask more questions regarding the sudden request of Kihyun to walk Yoongi home, but his best friend already walked away before he could even ask him another question. Jimin already heard from his best friend the reason why he always walks Yoongi home.
It has become a habit for both Kihyun and Yoongi to walk together to school and from school because they were neighbors, but Kihyun always insisted on walking Yoongi home because he is that kind of friend who gets protective. He knows fully well that Jimin can handle situations on his own because that's just how he is but with Yoongi, he knows that the oldest out of three of them doesn't like to involve himself in any type of violence, so he is much more vulnerable.
After the school bell rang, an indication that everyone was dismissed from school and from their classes, Jimin walked out of the building only to see Yoongi waiting at the exact same spot he had always been when he waited for his two best friends.
Usually, Kihyun would be waiting with him as they both wait for Jimin, who usually takes his time when it comes to taking his things from his locker, and Yoongi never fails to make a comment about it to the point that it had become a routine.
"Hyung!" Jimin happily yelled, and his familiar voice made Yoongi look up from his phone to see one of his best friends jogging towards him and waving his arms around like a maniac that always makes Yoongi flush from embarrassment. Jimin loves seeing Yoongi blush, he thinks it's cute, and Yoongi looks prettier with a light pink tone on his cheeks and nose.
"Can you not do that?" There was no malice in Yoongi's voice, and so the younger only chuckled in response. "You're so embarrassing sometimes, Jimin-ah."
